Good for me!
What were you using to sequence this in each piece btw? Absolutely lovely compositions !!
Thanks for making this!
The Noisy2 advert in 02:00 destroyed my viewing experience, because I came here for the Osmose and it was very disappointing to see this. I paused the video, I clicked on the Dislike button, I checked on the "Don't recommend channel" option and this way you lost another potential viewer/subscriber. Such amateurish, sneaky advertising tricks, such a pity..
Looks amazing. I want one haha
Excellent work!
Nice walk thru. I love the Osmose. While the key interface is traditional, and feels mostly conventional, I wouldn't use it as my only keyboard. In fact the keys are unique enough in feel, play and response that I'd almost classify it as a whole new instrument, the way a piano and an organ are similar but not at all interchangeable and play very different, velocity vs no velocity and organ keys snap back a bit faster than even a concert grand piano. Someday there will be session players that are expert Osmose players like a violinist or trumpet player, the synth is that unique.
Dude, update the firmware before doing a review..
Dude doesn't need updates. He has one of the rings of power!
A future classic. Not only because of its innovative key bed, but also and most importantly, for its sounds.
I love this synth but cant afford one so instead i ordered a behringer poly d, im just a hobbyist and think its the best option for my model d hankering ive had since 2004 and bidget. Yes it took me this long to make the plunge lol. When i wanted this blue edition in 2004 it was 3700 cdn, my poly d is 931 cdn taxes in currently. Hard to refuse that price for such an instrument.
I realise there is patch memory and that touch controller which make this synth even more awesome than your typical model d but im just happy being in the same ballpark as any version of the model d.
is it VALIABLE for ABLETON as well???
For dust - why don’t you put a simply cover on it. All keyboards collect dust… AFAIK
Yeah this
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥👏👏👏👏👏👏
The image comparing limiter and clipper is incorrect. The limiter would not create a waveform with a higher amplitude than the clipper, unless set to a higher threshold.
Very informative and enjoyable overview. I have just ordered an osmose so this was very useful - thank you.
Love the vid this helped im a new artist!!
a parte i primi bassi dell'inizio del video... tutto il resto hai fatto dei suoni di merda.
I'm not that keen on the Synthesis part of this keyboard, I'd much prefer a MIDI controller only version of this.
ROLI’s Equator 2 synth arguably offers more than the Egan Matrix, not least because of its beautifully curated set of multi-samples.
Mmm, I think you meant that the review is completely objective, although it might be subjective too 😉
Pretty much!
This thing feels all around cheap to me. Wobbly knobs, faders and laggy screen. The keyboard feels like you’re just playing a keyboard on top of a layer of stretchy fabric (ie: the continuum). I was so excited about this keyboard, and was going to buy early in the campaign, but since touching it in person at multiple music shops, I have lost all interest. The keyboard doesn’t feel bad, but everything else feels cheap around it which leads me to feel like the keyboard is also. I could probably get used to the wobbliness of the keyboard, but like many people, I have no interest in the synth engine, as I think the synth engine sounds incredibly boring from the presets. Such a huge disappointment.
It be great if someone out there would create an iOS app that’s similar to the SoundTower Voyager software. That be the only way to grant us the ability to recall presets instantly for all the live needs. For now I just save specific presets well accordingly to a set-list. Other than that, I really wish Moog would bring back the Voyagers in MKII form. With improvements and features like Paraphony / Duophony on ‘em. Also great vid. I like watching other Voyager vids of sessions and stuff. There are things I’m still learning from mine. Barely got a year with it. I was overwhelmed first having it, and played with presets only. Eventually made my own. It definitely does have some complexities.
What would you want to see in our next guides? What is missing there? 😁
A great review, no need for the speaking hands, just distracts:) I have it for a few months, for me it misses the analogue sounds where I play it combined with the Peak
i can never get tthe plugin to show up on fl😭
is the plugin in VST3 format? If so, locate common files / VST3 folder on your main drive, should do the trick. (this applies in case there is no installer, just a VST3 file to copy)
@@Integraudio Thanks got it!!!
@@RamboRaxx let us know if it worked!

Keyboardists want to sound more like guitarists, i.e., go in and out of tune. Meanwhile guitarists will use things like the Evertune system to stay in tune. Go figure.
By default, synthesizer is the only instrument that’s precisely locked into 12 tone equal temperament and the result is a rigid and corny sound. The tyranny of MIDI. Not even an acoustic piano is like this, and most other instruments cannot avoid subtle pitch expressions. The performer will naturally seek intervals that are measured in terms of just ratios, giving color and life to the sound. It’s no coincidence that the guitar brought so called “blue notes” to western music. Given the ability to express pitch with your hands, that sort of thing will naturally be discovered and embraced.
@@lordsharshabeel Unless we're talking about a vintage analog synth who's VCOs haven't yet warmed up. Give it 30 more minutes
as a keyboardist, the sad truth for us is that there're way more keyboardists and pianists than there're guitarists or pretty much any other instrument. The piano is the go-to instrument for any kid getting their feet wet in music. An oversupply means a decrease in value, and therefore sounding like a "good keyboardist" is simply not enough to put food on the table...
Thank you for your review! Much appreciated! Well, I don't know - I've just tried the trial today. It still drastically changes the sounds besides the birds. No matter how I tweak... Well I don't know, I'm still not very impressed by it for now...
well it's the only one de-bird tool, maybe check other trials for noise reduction plugins here? - integraudio.com/6-best-noise-reduction-plugins/
You pretty much hit on all of the nuance that the Osmose has to offer with its keyboard, namely the pitch bend with lateral motion and the fact that sound begins the instant you begin to depress the keys; but I don't think you mentioned the glide feature. With an appropriate patch (usually mono), the synth determines the pitch as somewhere between the two notes depressed, depending on how deeply each key is depressed. For example (and this will vary with your selected keyboard preferences): if you hold down a C and gradually apply the E above it, the pitch will raise by however much you depress the E. If you don't fully depress the E the pitch won't reach the E as long as you hold the C all the way down. If you fully depress the E or lighten up on the C, the pitch will continue to raise toward the E. This can be quite useful, if you are playing music that can take advantage of this, or if you want more control over portamento times. If you did mention this, or if you planned to cover this in a future video, I apologize in advance. I look forward to your next videos. I have had mine since they came to the US, but I still have not used it as a controller nor broken into the EagenMatrix. This promises to be very exciting. Thank you.
Yeah we plan to do 4 more videos, I will ask Tyler if he plan to mention this, good point
I wouldn’t say this has all the original charm of the Model D plus more. As an owner of both they sound completely different. Don’t get me wrong the Voyager is a wonderful synth in its own right, but the raw oscillators are fairly darker and the filter doesn’t open up nearly as much.
What can you do!
I just ordered one of these (will have it in my hands in about a week or so), and this video made me even more excited to get it than I already was! Great use of verbal explanaition and then showing that comment in action, and also the "little?" things that often are not done on review videos (ex: the more satin feel of the keys in comparison to the slick piano keys) gives me a sense of what this instrument will be like to play when I get it. I am looking forward to watching future videos on the software - it does look a little... um... intimidating on the screen 😮. Thank you for this!
Happy you got excited - There is a reason for that! We'll do 4 more videos on Osmose going more further so keep eyes on the next uplodads :)
What do you like and don't like about Tyler's review? Let us know so we can work on these things guys, much love!
Pros and cons of your video? Pros = It's clear that you've studied the product in depth and you've given it a very comprehensive review. You go quite far in your explanations without it becoming too technical, which makes it easy for the less technical among us to follow. Your accent is very pleasant and I understand exactly what you're saying without having to read the subtitles. Cons= The video is far too long, which means a lot of adverts have to be added. By the third advert, I can't take it any more and I want to leave. You could divide this video into 3 videos of 8 minutes each, with slightly different chapters. That would give you more content for the same amount of work. You are Italian? otherwise why move your hands so much when you're talking and you're not manipulating. Use different points of view to break the monotony of the static view. Keep up the good work!
@@pjtardiveau225 Yep we discussed hands with Tyler, he is aware of that! Thanks for detailed feedback
@@Integraudio The hand movements are fine! I didn't even think about it until it was mentioned. At least with hand movements, we know it's much less likely a review done by AI ;-) Let's embrace what makes us human. Great review, Tyler!
@@waynerandom11 haha thanks man much love
Nice review, well researched, and I like the hands, similar to what Loopop does for example. But TBH, might be nice to see Tyler’s face too.
Love mine, almost too many possibilities. Picked it up pre-loved after the announcement of receivership and realising it'd be a potential future classic (it is) . I have the Cobalt 8m from launch too, also a fine synth..
Is it possible to make a kick drum on the Rev2 and then play chords over top of it.
Could you ellaborate furthe please?
@@Integraudio Sure, can you create a kick drum with the rev2, then use that kick to create a beat, and then create a patch for synth keys and play chords over top? Essentially I mean is the rev2 capable of being a stand alone song machine or would I need a separate drum machine for this scenario, or even a DAW to record the parts into. An example would be say I wanted to perform a song thats in 4/4 and I need a kick pumping at 130bpm while I play piano to it. Could I do all that on the rev2 alone?
@@deadmessengers Sure you can. It is bi-timbral synthesiser and I think there is factory a patch with drum and sequence, check out Nick Batt demo or search demo with factory patches. But I don't see a point in doing this except for some tracks.
It think it's wait and see time for me. They went into receivership, have a new Chinese owner, and the website is dead.
can you comment when i do a remake of this video
What do you mean ?
love the blue edition Voyager
maybe if all buttons would be blue + display, it would be awesome I guess
Would you still buy Voyager in 2024 and why? If not, what would you choose instead? 🤔
I love it, however I'd rather buy Arturia Matrixbrute for its dual filter, paraphony, sequencer and mod matrix
wow 😍
That melody starting at 5.35 is so beautiful.
I dont say what buy, novation peak or rev 2 ? 😢
We didn't test Peak yet, but if you are after low-end, check this Novation toy - kzread.info/dash/bejne/eWyKl7WnotfZmNI.html
I have both...
All those soft touch surfaces like on the knobs and on the Pitch and Mod wheel got sticky and oily over time on mine and the keys yellowed. The plastic was very low quality for some reason. I had one of the first ones ever made though, maybe they are not like that today.
I own one too, about year so far, keys are white, and wheels seems fine, maybe because I don't use them much, I don't have any other analog synths for low end, this one is enough, at first glance, it seems it lacks of controls, but with 2 oscs, you can make a crazy amount of presets with this synth, and not just a bass
True, and also it acts as a 3 oscillator with the tunable sub which is a great feature ! Also, I consider 'noise' another oscillator and I use the external in a lot, so it ends up 4 oscillators plus noise ! luv this powerful little analog synth !@@Integraudio17:21
@@kimdiez2681 yep, knobs are mabye too stiff it seems
Oh wonderful, another almost awesome video until we notice the talking hands clone waving around and pointing at random knobs and buttons, put a sock on it and call it a day.
hahahaha you summed my irritation up perfectly lol, He no loopop

I had the minibrute 2 (I love the keys) and loved it so much I got the 2S as well, both are paired separately with Rackbrutes
This was a great tutorial. Thanks very much!
bro this video 10/10 short, sweet, and to the point !Thank you!
the only thing that would have made this better you,d have been to have an oscilloscope showing the corrected waves. as everyones room, speakers, headphones are different. & what sound clean to one may not be that clean on the other end! excellent video! I was looking for someone demoing this, I know all about phase, well as much as the next man.. I still stayed for your explanation & demos! earned a sub.
What app is the midi/audio in?( The main app)
It's called FL Studio.
Can you transpose?
Yes, see the Part 1 video. You can transpose in octaves and semitones.
