The African guy is right!! I am proud of him for defending the African dance genre. He won in my view, and had to put up with too much in the process. Unbelievable. I love Larry. In fact, I am one of his biggest fans. He did not do the assignment. No amount of flash is going to change that. He was also rude. I’m glad to see him on the street, despite his obvious success. Perhaps it will remind him to remain humble. Aside: Lau and Larry insist on doing Latin and African dancing periodically. They have never really mastered the fundamentals from what I’ve seen, beyond some modern Afrobeat dances. They are considered among the best in the world. My hope for them would be that they respect these dances enough to really learn at least the core or root fundamentals underlying movement in these forms. Latin music, for example has some very specific rules. Wishing all the best.

African guy was trying to prove he was the best ....but only had 5 moves the whole time. Dance is subjective, I believe they are masters of their craft, if all u could see was a shadow ....you would still know its les twins just by the way they move. Root Fundamental wise.... I think they know how to copy every other latin and afrobeat dancer but they like to always put their own swag/flavour to it. They are genuinely soo good that they can look at someone and mimic their moves without ever rehearsing it. Maybe thats why they are one of the best freestyle dancers in the world

@@DJONDEX I know you believe that. We will have to disagree though. I invite you to be more discerning, and to understand that all dance is not subjective. That is how we are able to have competitions. There are some rules. I do not need a lesson from you on Les Twins. I have been watching and rooting for them for more than 15 years, attended their workshop, seen them perform live with Bey, etc. I have watched them grow and to get better every year. I know that they have remarkable talent. I also know, objectively, that they are among the world’s best, which is why I am saying what I am saying. Every person/ dancer has strengths and weaknesses. None are super-human, which makes these brothers even more special. The twins are not nearly as strong in these dance forms as they could be. I base this loving critique on watching multiple performances over the years, not just this one video clip. Natural talent is only a part of the recipe with these dance forms. It’s also about activating a fundamental vibe or precise controlled movement, often in alignment with ones’s dance partner. There are precise rules, you can’t just make stuff up (start doing African freestyle for example at a classical ballet recital). The African guy may have had only had about five moves, but they were five appropriate moves. It’s the part that is not as much about improv/free-styling. Their quite precise parts. Relying on natural talent alone, is not going to cut it in these dance forms, even for the African guy.

@@donnajohnson5923 All dance is subjective. Almost the same way music is subjective .....dance competitions ....music charts. They both receive awards based on how good they are and they are only good because of the amount of people that liked it 🤣 if you dont like it. Don't vote them to win. Subjective. In the way that u also dislike it when over most of the 700K viewers like Laurent you prefered the other guy because even if it was a hip hop song he wouldve lost. Laurent was better. Yes, he wanted to dance african ... but this was not the rules. This is the street battle, theres more than one way to dance to an afrobeat song. One guy has his way. Other guy has another way. Again subjective, they interpret the song and dance differently! Plus ....just like fighting someone on the street and then saying Noooooo just boxing! no kicking or wrestling. Lol

You think you are their biggest fan when you can’t even get the name of the twin dancing right 😂 the guy challenged Laurent and was rude to him first. Don’t challenge an all around dancer and get mad because they pick and choose what Afro-dances they want to do plus call you out on doing the same one move in a dance challenge. And he can go harder than this so he definitely took it easy on the guy. Biggest fan yea ok 😂
