    Was the water just in the storage compartment or in the whole ama? Thinking you have solved the issue by fitting a pump doesn’t do it for me. You need to address the issue. Surely there is a waterproof hatch that actually works.

    Alex: I have a 2008 Telstar 28. Your videos have inspired me to do more modifications myself. My centerboard rope failed last season. I’m having the boat hauled this week. What size and length of rope did you use to replace the old line around the drum? I have the video Tony and Will made but they don’t discuss that. Thanks for any help. My board is longer than yours, hopefully that won’t make a difference.

  • @AlexGoesSailing
    @AlexGoesSailing5 күн бұрын

    @@AndrewsRenaissanceExperi-mk3vr don’t think it will make a difference. I think it was 10mm but you can also check through the inspection hatch. Length I would get 3m to be safe.

    @@AlexGoesSailing thanks. I pulled the board yesterday. It wouldn’t come out until almost completely vertical. The starboard and rope fell off before I could take a picture. My board is different than your model. It’s longer, slightly different shape, and I has an extra roller (smaller) underneath the grey PVC roller. I contacted the builder’s son, Will, to ask what’s the purpose of the smaller roller. I have till Tuesday to figure it out as the boat yard will force me back in the water.
