I was so happy to find these new videos. Thank you for making them. You and yours are in my daily prayers. God bless you. Today's world seems worse in many ways than the one the Covenanters had to deal with, so we should expect terrible judgements. But God is faithful, good and always near to those who truly love and serve him!

I watched every video of this series. I learned a huge amount about our reformation, and the bravery of Gods people in Scotland back then is awe inspiring. Too many Reformed Christians in Scotland today know very little about how their religion was paid for in blood. God bless you for the work that you have put into these videos.

I do have a question for you. I have walked some of the sites there, and a common emblem on the gravestones of the Covenanters is the skull and crossbones. Did this symbolize that they are dead? Or what was the purpose of this? It seems like it was very important to them, as if they were making a statement. Thank you

God is [a]known in Judah: his Name is great in Israel. 2 For in [b]Salem is his Tabernacle, and his dwelling in Zion. 3 There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah. 4 Thou art more bright and puissant, than [c]the mountains of prey. 5 The stouthearted are spoiled: they have slept their sleep, and all the men of strength have not [d]found their hands. 6 At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast asleep. 7 Thou, even thou art to be feared; and who shall stand in thy [e]sight, when thou art angry! 8 Thou didst cause thy judgment to be heard from heaven; therefore the earth feared, and was still, 9 When thou, O God, arose to judgment, to [f]help all the meek of the earth. Selah. 10 Surely the [g]rage of man shall turn to thy praise; the remnant of the rage shalt thou restrain. 11 Vow and perform unto the Lord your God, all ye that be [h]round about him; let them bring presents unto him that ought to be feared. 12 He shall [i]cut off the spirit of princes; he is terrible to the kings of the earth. Footnotes Psalm 76:1 He declareth that God’s power is evidently seen in preserving his people and destroying his enemies. Psalm 76:2 Which afterward was called Jerusalem. Psalm 76:4 He compareth the kingdoms full of extortion and rapine to the mountains that are full of ravening beasts. Psalm 76:5 God hath taken their spirits and strength from them as though their hands were cut off. Psalm 76:7 God with a look is able to destroy all the power and activity of the enemies, were they never so many, or mighty. Psalm 76:9 To revenge the wrongs done to thy Church. Psalm 76:10 For the end shall show that the enemy was able to bring nothing to pass: also thou shalt bridle their rage that they shall not compass their purpose. Psalm 76:11 To wit, the Levites, that dwell about the Tabernacle, or the people among whom he doth dwell. Psalm 76:12 The Hebrew word signifieth to vintage, or gather grapes: meaning, that he shall make the counsels and enterprises of wicked tyrants foolish and vain. Thank you and your wife, Jimmy. Christ Jesus our LORD bless you and yours.

Psalm 76 has a new meaning for me now; I have read Maurice Grant's account of Drumclog, but I so appreciated this reminder and hearing Mr. Fisher's account of it in his Scottish "accent" (to me) and seeing the sight myself, as best I can in the United States. Thank you so very deeply for this retelling; it deepens and strengthens my own conviction and gives me a deeper appreciation of what the living Christ meant to these people and how He is still alive today; this is not history taught in the United States, not even of our Pilgrim forefathers and why exactly they hazarded their lives to cross an ocean to a wilderness to live here. How amnesiac most of the world is, and I so appreciate your keeping this history alive, and not just history, but its connection to our living God, the Gos so much of our world ignores and rejects.

I would LOVE to go on such a walking tour of Edinburgh, and it is strange that I was drawn to Edinburgh when I was still a Roman Catholic but oh so ignorant; how I wish I could return now, for the city holds so much more meaning for me now, both Edinburgh and Scotland as a whole. I owe so very much to the Covenanters 400 years later for being God's means of drawing me out of darkness.

What Mr. Fisher says at the end is so deeply true and why I so value these videos and Scotland's history; I wish I weren't across the ocean and might take advantage of Mr. Fisher's deep appreciation of Covenanting history, so I so deeply appreciate it being shared this way. What a rich history Scotland has, and it has impacted my life, even here in the United States. This rich history gives me the backbone and encouragement I need to stand firm for Christ. Thank you ever so deeply for these videos. It is so encouraging to know that someone values and treasures the lives of these people. We do indeed owe a great debt to John Brown and the Covenanters and do indeed have a duty to keep their memories alive, even here in America.

Fascinating history. I'm from kilmarnock which is another strong covenating town. Incedently I'm a member of St Kentigern Church in Kilmarnock. I have heard a story that the reason why alot of Presbyterian Churches in Scotland have RED doors is because it's to commemorate the blood of the covenanters but I don't know how true it is but it makes sense to me.
