Wait... thats new! Never seen him use his teeth as a surrogate Kosh Kash! :D
I don’t understand how to get the stick to rebound so high that the stick is still pointing up when my wrist bends down
A pity they never recorded this, because it's my favorite version ever. And it may be too late now. I don't think that he performs any longer. 😢
Bro these whispering assholes ruined both the live show and this recording forever until the end of time... How narcissistic can you be that you cant shut the fxck up during a show?
I don't understand why Billy Strings is so hyped. There are so many bluegrass guitarists who leave him far behind in my opinion. Like Clay Hess, Kenny Smith, Josh Williams, just to name a few. Their touch is so much more accentuated and soulful.
it's was so great. Whaww
Brutal
Life changing event for my drumming life 10 years ago. I use open close everyday as it’s a natural motion now. If your looking precision, this is your prescription. Shout out to Gordy from Atlanta Georgia.
Machine emulating man, now man emulating machine lol
Very damn cool
I know her, but who's that guy on the left ? He has talent !
Schaller true tune¿
This is so beautiful. I can see clearly now, the rain is gone I can see all obstacles in my way gone are the dark clouds that had me blind it’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright) sun-shiny day.
Diggin' the "Strung" term B !!
Superb fluency👌👌👌

I know the song from DVD of The Buddy Holly Story produced by Paul McC. Sonny was from Lubbock just like Buddy I believe. He also wrote I Fought The Law which I played every night in the Surf Cowboys. Portland.
Absolutely incredible drummer!!
It makes vinnie,Steve, Virgil, look like idiots. Honestly , it’s not good I, it doesn’t groove , you guys are pulling yourselves about how good it is.
Great video , thanks.
Argentine very good tank you
these two are on the extreme opposite of the personality spectrum, however it oddly works 😆
0:20 hungry kitten wants milk 😾
How do you not have Popeye forearms?
Thank you so much for this great video. I'm a percussion instructor and my students greatly benefit from this excellent video. Thanks to this video I have students as young as 8 years old who are now able to utilize the "open-close" technique. 👏👏👏
In this setting, how can the audio be so terrible.
that car had a vendetta
Excelente , trascienden el tiempo

Question: how do you use this with different rudiments?
❤
And there in the midst of the action, both holding down the beat and elevating the mood…is The Drummer!! Jendeen, I remember this show with fondness! I can still also recall Rick Carlson singing Cab Calloway’s Minnie the Moocher; what fun! I hope that you are well and that we connect again one day over coffee, conversation and music!!! You sound great here!! ~ Willie
I have watched this dozens of times LITERALLY Judi sings the melody like the song was written just for her. They are divine together.
My sentiments exactly The music did not die.
Didn’t realize it was my own comment from two years ago. Lol. Time to get a life John. Lol
I've heard it explained as using 5/8 time, but he's right that it can slide in between.
are you bitcrushing th audio to make the drums extra crunchy? I dig it
Justin sounds incredible here. Amazing <3
When was this made? 2012? Oh...
The perfect technique for blast beats 🔥
That was amazing. That ending referencing American Pie.
