Hello Claire. We will be in the hallstat by May 7, but we will be staying at Bad Goisern. Can you please give us experienced about the accommodation and transportation. Thank you in advance
@clairelin94032 ай бұрын
Hi! Bad Goisern is a pretty good place to stay. It runs along that one train line so you can catch that pretty frequently to go down to Hallstatt. Accommodations there might be slightly more expensive than getting an Airbnb at other smaller towns along the way but it’s definitely more central and friendly to tourists there.

Hi - loved your video. We are planning a trip to Lake Como as well. Wha time of the year did you go. Want to prepare for the weather.

Hi! We went in late February. The weather was awesome then. Not too hot but sunny. It was also not very crowded with tourists but there were some shops that were closed still.

this is great perspective for anyone applying to college. you're clearly an amazing student & couldn't be more qualified to go to a top-tier school, so none of those rejections or waitlists are a reflection on your merit. I have so many insanely impressive friends who didn't get into any ivy's, and if that happens to you, I think it's really important to recognize that it's not because you're not good enough. I know it can be tempting to say, if I had only taken a few more AP's or gotten above 1550 on an SAT retake, maybe I would have gotten in--but even when you have perfect stats, huge extracurricular accomplishments, prestigious academic honors/awards, & beautifully-written essays, nothing is guaranteed. my advice as a high school senior who is currently making college decisions: don't play the game. don't do anything for the sole purpose of getting into college. that includes taking classes that are challenging but don't really interest you, doing EC's you're good at but not passionate about, obsessively trying to raise your SAT score when you'd rather spend your time on something else. I've spent high school studying what excites my intellectual curiosity (rather than what I think would look most impressive on a transcript), prioritizing balance, and doing things I genuinely love in my free time--and I'm so grateful I chose that route. please don't make the mistake of sacrificing your current happiness for future happiness, especially if that "future happiness" is bound up in a college acceptance that is ultimately out of your control. please don't spend 4 years burning yourself out so that an admissions committee will want you--it's so not worth it, especially in today's climate (acceptance rates are unprecedentedly low everywhere). by all means, challenge yourself. put in the work. apply to all your dream schools. but if it doesn't go your way, remember that it means nothing about you or your worth. as long as you've spent these last 4 years living fully and authentically, you have nothing to regret.

I'm glad you had a more positive experience than you expected. It is a wonderful island so you should come back and see the rest of it! By the way, the difference between high and low tide is miniscule. Basically, it's indiscernible so no fear of getting stuck at the tidal pools! Happy travels!

Thanks for the insight! High tide in the pools didn't seem as daunting as what I read online and it was a beautiful view either way :) Would definitely try to visit again sometime soon.

You must go to St. John. I used to live on St. Croix back in the 70's. Long before you were born. It is a shame that you did not sail to Buck Island. Under sail is so peaceful, no engine noise. I hope that you did some snorkeling around Buck Island. The coral heads are not as plentiful or beautiful as they once were. However, you see lots of fish. Next time you have to visit Whim Great House which is an old sugar plantation. Oh, and next time remember to pack bug spray.

Glad to see ya'll ha fun on our little island in the sun! The bugs that were biting you are called "sandflies" or "no-see-ums". Later on in the afternoon the can be a real nuisance on certain beaches. Glad you guys where able to make it to buck islands and the tide pools. Those are two must do's when visiting st Croix. The corals are not as beautiful as they were years ago. What ever cleaning agent they used when they had that big oil spill in the Gulf some years back really messed them up. That was nice of the taxi driver to buy you the snacks. On your next trip down come to St. Thomas and I'll tea you guys around and show you the sites!
