Hi there! My name is Ben and I’m a songwriter based in Athens, Greece.
After letting life get in the way for almost two decades, I decided to start recording
the songs I had written and left in the drawer for many years.
I am old-school so I try to keep things simple, in my music, my recordings, and the whole songwriting process.
My youTube channel is dedicated to helping creative people get back in the game of creating.
I’m figuring it out on the way. My purpose is to Play-Create-Inspire.
Ferris Bueller said "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." He was right.
However, it’s never too late to get back in touch with your creative self. Follow me and Let’s make some music!

I like your set up. Thanks for the tips on the work flow. Nice song too.
Nice. Very helpful to see your process.
Thank you, Ben @benzito for making this video. I was searching for some instruction and clues as to which wheel to purchase, but I do not need to purchase one at all. I can make my own! Thank you, again:)
how did you keep the trio from distorting after applying overdrive? im using amp distortion not pedals. im confused.
I can't really remember what I did back then but if you see the distorted guitar came in when I turned up the volume of the guitar and changed the pickup. I think it was generally clean sound direct to my sound card in 2 different channels recorded at the same time(one channel for drums and bass and the other had the looper and guitar ).
Fantastic. Thank you. Amazing
thanks for watching Melissa
You're back! That's great, man.
Thanks man! I’m planning a better comeback than this hopefully soon
I hope you also discuss the base.
Will you do another video explaining how to rearrange the order of the various parts? Including how you got it to play some parts twice? Great video, very useful and inspiring.
Hey thanks! Yes I can make a video explaining some details like that. The arrangement and how many time each part is played is controlled by the song sequence on the top of the pedal where it says SEQ. You press that and then the number of the part. If you want the part twice you press it 2 times when making the sequence. I hope I explained it well enough 😀. Thanks for commenting!!
i like your approach to having a creative life.
thanks! it's not always easy... life gets in the way very often but I try to remind myself to stay creative! Thanks for commenting
@@BenZitoMusic yeah, life does get in the way. time to use those time management skills, I guess!
Oh bullshit
Dark and melancholy composition. Excellent performance! Super cool! 👍👍
thanks man!!!
Real world exposition of a top notch invention and product.
exactly! It's a great practice tool!
. This was very informative. You demoed the song build and basic features very well. It would be terrible to have to buy without seeing some decent demo comparisons. Thanks for sharing
Glad it was helpful!
Wise steps indeed
thanks man!
Great story , thanks for sharing and keep it up!
Thank you! Will do!
Helpful tips, thank you!
I'm glad they are helpful!
probably be wise if you learned how to use it before video
Thank you so much... So helpful😁
I also have a HB35 plus and a Tiro-plus ..... your video was very explanatory and I will try to replicate your song to learn (but I will only use it for private purposes) ...... meanwhile, a big thank you.
Thanks Alessandro! The Trio Plus is a great tool to help you make music! Have fun!!
Great content and what an inspiring book... keep up the good work and happy birthday...!
Hey Christo! Thanks for commenting and for the birthday wishes!!!!
That’s not a smart way to restring anything. Look into locking the strings off properly.
you are probably right! I was paying more attention to the camera and being inside the frame than the guitar. However, I have had the strings on for a couple of months now and it is all ok. winding it under the string helps keep it in place. thanks for watching and commenting! have you been playing for a long time?
Just speak more lively pls next time ..ty
It was past midnight and the fam was asleep... I am happy I made it anyway. Now I make my videos in the morning so stay tuned! Thanks for watching 😉🎸
Keep going man. Love this and keep posting the journey
thanks man! it really means a lot!
Keep it up my friend! Your channel rocks!
Thanks man! you are awesome!
Don't ever quit!! You got this!! ❤
thanks for the motivation! I truly appreciate it!
Great story my friend! 🙏❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it
For you Ben .I do not know music! But I know from painting! For a long time now, the idea came to me to integrate painting with music (visually) !! Do not they say that the arts have something in common? I am at a very early stage! I want a lot of work but after your video, I will try, but I do not know where it will take me!
Knowing where it will take you spoils all the fun! Great ideas to integrate the arts!
very cool
nice
very nice
Thanks mate!
Nice song!!! Well done :D
Thank you Kyriako! I really appreciate the comment!
Go on! Make your 23yo self proud!
Thanks, George! It's a moral imperative to at least try!
Ha, this is Dimos that I met back at the age of 21 and that is the reason I "picked" you out of the croud for hanging out with. Keep on dreaming and acting reminding us all how the story should go...
Hey! you're the first person I met there! I think I "picked" you though! Haha... I will do my best to keep the dream alive!
Since i know from the "TV sports basketball- Amiga Era " ! i always knew that you and your brother, these nice kind kids which i use to exchange chords in their room and all got fascinated at that time , could really write some nice music.Go on man!
Hey! you know that the picture in this video at 0:09 is in your room and that was your guitar!!! You are the reason I got started with guitar in the first place and photography! I will be forever grateful!
@@BenZitoMusic This guitar was a Guild M75 and belonged to John my guitarist fellow. Still we play every week in our town. The guitar has gone to other hands......Thank you.Go on to your destiny.
Wish I'd seen this video 1 month ago. Sending all my positive enegry towards your way 💪💪 Can't wait for the music 😊
Thanks Denis! more to come soon!
Never give up! 🤘
That's the Plan!!! Like Pete Townshend said: “Rock 'n' Roll might not solve your problems, but it does let you dance all over them.”
Come on , get on track , there's people waiting for you!♥️
You've always been on my side Olga, supporting all my crazy artistic projects! Thank you!!!
Followed your link from Damian Keyes' comment section, and I just wanted to say thay this is a great effort, and a solid single! Keep it up, I can't wait to hear what you do next!
Thank you so much , Mike! Damo has helped with his ideas many times. I'm a big fan!
Same here! I've been a long-time follower of his, but mostly just more of a lurker haha. But I've definitely heeded his advice more than a few times! But yeah man, you've laid the groundwork for some really solid stuff here, and I'm excited for the next one!
same here!
A W E S O M E 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
T H A N K Y O U !!!! You are AWESOME!!!
Came here by way of a Damian Keyes video. Good song with a good hook. You say it’s a first effort. Well, it’s one to be proud of. It would probably make the charts if somebody famous sang it.
wow thank you Douglas! you made my day! I don't consider myself a singer, I do what I can with what I have. I really appreciate your comment.
@Zack Darce Damo is the Man! I'm a big fan! How's your music going?
Thanks 👍 I believe the trio is a great pedal but it's complex and almost like learning a new instrument so you need to apply a lot of time to it, you simplify it really well.
Thank you John! You are right, you do have to treat it as a new instrument. once you learn to use it quickly though, you can get your ideas down wherever you are. I really enjoy that I can have the trio, 1 guitar and headphones and actually make music.
I tend to get better results if I play the rhythm parts thinking as a bass player. What I mean is use single note lines instead of arpeggio strumming with the guitar. In any case the trio + is a very nice practice tool and aong writing tool to have at your disposal...
Absolutely! After using it for a while that's what I started doing too, just to get the bass and general rhythm right and you can then build off that.
Very usefull. This is the best trio band plus tutorial I've seen so far. Really encouraging and motivating. Thank you so much.
Thanks!!! I really appreciate the comment. I hope the video helps you make some music! 😉🎸
I just got mine and have watched a bunch of Trio Plus videos. I like when you said "learning together". Making a song from scratch excellent idea. I got a lot from your video as I learned from your learning. I don't understand the thumbs down ratings on any video. If someone doesn't like what they see or hear just move one. Thank you for taking the time to put this together.
Thanks man I really appreciate the comment! I hope you get a lot out of that little pedal, it's really great!
I have been studying see if I can use this with my violin. You got some nice improv, subbed.
Thanks for the sub! Not sure if it can be used with the violin. When I use the guitar to "teach" it what to play I keep it very simple, mostly strumming the chords and not fingerpicking complicated music.
how did you get the music you created in the trio plus into the video
I recorded it on my computer through my soundcard and then I synced it with the video in final cut X
@@BenZitoMusic thank you
🤣
;)
How do you save songs ?’
It pretty much saves the song as you go. Under the style knob, there is a button that says "song". You press that and you can change the song using the "style" knob. you can save 12 songs on a mini SD card. and there is software in order transfer to the computer. I would recommend 2-3 mini SD cards to have more songs to play with.
@@BenZitoMusic Thanxs Ben
Love this! Best of luck with it all :)
Thank you Alona! good luck with your journey as well! I really like what you are doing!
@@BenZitoMusic awh Thankyou I really appreciate it 😄
I’ve watched a lot of these videos on the Trio Plus and I enjoyed yours a lot cause you actually just did what I would do when I have mine! 😆 thanks
Thanks Isaac! it's a really cool tool. It helps if you are a one-man-band and during the quarantine, it was a lifesaver!
