Another fun day on small water. I have a couple spots near my house where I do the same and small water fishing is a blast. I like the 'make your own lure" concept. REAL fishermen mix & match as needed to catch fish. I'm always modifying baits with color, adjusting weight, and trimming hair, feather or plastic to match what I think will work that day. What a FAT rock bass!! I love how aggressive they are. If Rock Bass got to be as big as Largemouth Bass, they'd probably attack anything that got into the water.

Mepps spinners are fantastic lures that I use every time I go fishing. The #3 squirrel tail with the tri colored (yellow, orange and green) blade has caught more Northern and largemouth bass than all of the other spinners I have combined. My largest Musky (47'') was caught on this lure on 6# test. It took 20 minutes to get that fish in for pics. I've found for me the Mepps spinners work in any type of water but really excel in the fall on rivers & creeks near cover. I like to run them like a spinnerbait at the surface and also deep in a up down slow retrieve. Rock throwing ...Bigfoot??? Ha ha ha! Maybe kids messin with the guy filming???
