Fantastic information 🎉
Very nice information
Fabulous information 🎉🎉🎉
I will never understand why, but all I ever did was the octave mouthpiece exercise and one day while doing the daily struggle to get out the 3rd overtone I started getting really high ones. It was weird as everyone always described overtones as a linear process. But I realized one of the lower notes in those high overtones I was playing was Palm Key F, I then spent the next few days working my way down. Now I can play the whole Bflat series. And it somehow also transferred to every other note. I noticed now randomly I can pitch bends on palm keys and can feel how I’m going it. This is weird as I’ve always been told that overtones were a linear process in which you had to figure out your voicing. I still don’t know exactly what im doing in a literal sense, I can just kinda get my air stream right for each overtone. But I couldn’t tell you what I’m doing, I just can now.
in 8th grade but im learning this piece because my sax professor at sfa played this last year and played tango etude no 2 for us this year. He brought out a bass sax but we didn't get to play it☹️
It's been good learning with you Sir
Ya podrían haberle puesto mejor iluminación a la pobre pianista que no se le ve la cara 😭😭

Hey, I saw you at Music Festival! I was part of that group of kids that kept coming in. I was actually hoping to do part of this piece for a solo next year (hopefully Cafe 1930). Do you have any advice?
Hi Riley, thank you for the comment! Will you please send me a quick email? and I can share with more details: [email protected]
@@wonkisaxlee yes I can do that
Piazzolla is literally my favorite composer. You make his music sound so much greater!
I like the beautiful muscle tone of the pianist...
Thank you so much for your interpretation. It is very touchy. It goes so deep. Thanks for your INSPIRATION. GREETINGS from SPAIN.
Keep your reeds is alcohol, vodka is best...keep it for it's lifetime ...take it out and directly play...more hygienic..enzymes in your saliva will not harm the reed material, ie: bamboo fibers...no mould formation...no cycling of dry to wet and back (always wet...).....my personal experience is really encouraging...
🥰🥰
Excellent! Please, show us how to slap tonguing. Thank you!
Hes playing the notes, not the music. PLAY WITH PASSION

Wonki, I want you to know that the day I found your channel I fell in love with your performance. You are my top role model as a saxophone player and you should know that so many like me look up to people like you. Thank you for being an outstanding person.
Thank you for your great videos! I have a Yamaha Custom 875 Alto purchased in early/mid 90s. I have always found it a bit more “resistant” as you describe. A highly regarded repair tech told me that many Yamaha models need the neck bore opened up slightly. I was hesitant but he was certain so I let him do it. The horn was immediately less resistant especially in low register and altissimo register and kept its great tone. Just curious on your thoughts here and if you have heard of players doing this. I have heard of other good repair techs doing the same thing as well
Thanks for the comment. Changing the neck bore definitely affects the sound and resistant - I used to use G1 Neck, which was darker and more resistant, but now I am using V1 neck which has different bore structure and gives less resistant and brighter tone quality.
Thank you for your clear explanation and the useful links
sounds very Beautiful
🎉thanks a lot for the explanation

Wow, your tone is so beautiful. I love the expression you mentioned: Playing simple melodies as beautifully as possible!
What is the difference between a jazz mouthpiece and a classical mouthpiece and how to tell the difference? Edit: does it even make a difference?
