    Newbie here using an NX8, and the plane is an Apprentice STS 1.5. The remote ID light is on and steady, I went to telemetry like this video shows and put in gps and airspeed, scrowled to the gps screen, but there's no data showing up. What am I missing?

  • @6SRC_YT
    @6SRC_YT27 күн бұрын

    There are a lot of variables but initialize the remote outside with clear view to the sky to be sure it connects. To verify it’s working, and if you have an iPhone, go to App Store and search “Drone Scanner” using quotes. That’s what it’s called. I use this one. After you install you will see remote IDs in your area which will likely just be you. If you see yourself you’re good. If nothing shows up it’s not yet broadcasting right.

    4s or 6S? I think the performance will be the same (power/kg, not top speed) and price for batteries will be lower.I am leaning towards 4S; Wingloading will be lower aswell, so itll be more forgiving. Flight time should be the same, and on the low end probably more compared to 6s. Thoughts?

  • @6SRC_YT
    @6SRC_YTАй бұрын

    I fly 6S 2200 CNLN and it flies great. If you fly off grass too you may find it more difficult to take off. You know your field and if other 4S edfs have had trouble. If you think you can rotate, then your flight experience should be fine.

    It’s stock, except I did program full span flaps for takeoff and landing. Note I fly a 3300 pack and push it as far back as it can in battery bay. If you fly a bigger battery try one smaller. It’s too nose heavy with bigger packs.

    How many satellites does it say it has acquired? Be sure you’re actually connected. You can try turning the radio and plane off and restarting. Be sure it has clear view of sky and time to connect. Also, Spektrum has just offered an update to most radios including DX8Gen2. I may do a video. This lets you just scroll to see GPS data.

  • @Hoomi2

    My original order was made in September. When I contacted Horizon about it a month ago, I was informed that the order had been cancelled. Apparently, some financial institutions will not allow a transaction that is several months old to go through. Because I'd ordered at the special pre-order price, Horizon put $30 worth of reward credits into my account so that I could reorder at essentially the pre-order pricing. After that, there was a short delay when they went out of stock again, but it arrived within around three weeks of the order. Oddly enough, the last two orders I've made from Horizon have not had the order status updated to show that the items had shipped. I think with the ongoing updates to their website, order statuses are not being updated. Since I never received a shipping notification, I suspect the cancelled order notifications may not be getting sent out, either, until customer service replies to an inquiry.
