    Very wrong! The central valley is not the desert. The Central Valley of California has areas that are dry enough to be considered desert, but the region is also home to a variety of other ecosystems.

    Good point, thanks for clarifying! It is technically a dry Mediterranean climate. Thank goodness for irrigation!

    What is the average spent on utilities a month in a 1700 sqft house?

  • @LivingInClovisCA
    @LivingInClovisCA9 күн бұрын

    Hey, great question! There are some resources online through City of Clovis that show Utility Rates from 2023. Trash, water, recycle, street sweep, etc…it will vary a bit depending on the area. From those I have asked, it will range between $50-150 (probably closer to the middle) per month. The big expense this time of year is electricity because of the extreme heat. Our bill the last two months has been just under $500 (moderate usage without solar) with a few others expressing similar numbers. On a normal month, we expect to see between 200-300.

    Up and outside at 6AM and stop by 10AM. INSIDE the remaining of the day. At 8 PM it might cool down a bit. You survive the heat.

    feels kinda click-bait-y. Just using google maps and doing voice overs. You need to go out there and actually record real footage.

    Thanks for the feedback. We plan to do videos with footage from Clovis in the future as Vlog Tours. Map Tour videos will continue to be focused on an overview of different areas on the Map. Due to the large production time of Vlog Tours, the anxiety of recording in public, and the positive reception of these Map Tours from our real estate clients who have expressed interest in this type of overview, we will continue to focus on this style for now.

    Do these neighborhoods all have HOAs? Looks like it. Also, the water supply. How is it? Where does the water come from?

  • @LivingInClovisCA
    @LivingInClovisCAАй бұрын

    Thanks for the feedback. Those are great questions! I'll do my best to cover that in future videos. In short, it depends. As far as HOAs, the master-planned communities (Harlan Ranch, Loma Vista, gated communities) are more likely to have one, but I don't believe the north west or south west neighborhoods I showed in this video had an HOA. With water, it depends. *Most* of the area within the red boundary on the map will be public water/public sewer, which according to the City of Clovis, "The City samples the water served to customers at the source, after treatment, and in the distribution system." In my personal experience, it is potable, but my wife and I still keep a Brita in our fridge. As we get further east into the countryside, we start to see more Private Well/Community Well/Septic. But truthfully, it varies from neighborhood to neighborhood.

    It's been scorching hot in the Central Valley this 4th of July weekend. We visited a friend in Visalia, and it felt like being in a burning inferno. It was miserable, and you didn't want to step outside, even at 8 pm. We finally felt some relief when we got back home to Long Beach, where it was in the mid 80s with a cool breeze.

  • @LivingInClovisCA

    I hope you had a nice visit at least, aside from the weather! It was 111 degrees in Clovis yesterday. We are heading to Monterey this weekend to avoid the 116 highs. Thankfully, it usually tapers off toward the beginning of August.

    Had the same problem with bad allergies. Try quercetin. It’s a flavonoid that when taken daily is a powerful anti inflammatory. It’s not an instant relief method of action. It will work gradually but over the last two years I’ve taken this I am allergy free.

    Fresno is an awesome city what you talking about. It’s nice it offers lots and it’s a big city. I come from San Jose. So I can tell you aside from the Bay Area Fresno is really nice. For ppl thinking of moving to another state maybe they should concider a valley city and Fresno would be the best option. Many ppl who have left California altogether ended up regretting it.
