    Do you supply a wood only plate for your other models live the pv5w? Would they help to improve efficiency if only ever burning wood, or is it best to just let ash build up?

  • @charltonandjenrick
    @charltonandjenrick Жыл бұрын

    There is no plate to remove on the other Purevision models. There is a small difference in efficiency between fuel types, but it is marginal. It is advisable to leave a thin layer of ash at the bottom, that way, the fire will catch quicker.

    I don’t understand why you would choose these?

  • @charltonandjenrick
    @charltonandjenrick Жыл бұрын

    There are a variety of reasons, for example if you had a well insulated room which didn't need much heat but you still wanted a fireplace, if you wanted to incorporate your TV into your fireplace, or if you wanted the customisation features like being able to change the colour of the fuel bed and flames. We also do a range of gas and wood burning products, videos of which are on our channel which might suit other tastes more.

    Hi Mateusz, We don't have a training video for our Fireline range, only our Purevision range. However I have just put together some basic instructions to start and run your stove below. I hope this is useful. To start- One log behind another with plenty of kindling on top, and a firelighter in the middle of the logs (underneath the kindling). After lighting, leave the door ajar (on the catch) until the logs catch on fire, then close. Leave the air control all the way to the right (top lever) When you load a log move the bottom lever to the right for a few minutes to increase burning speed, before moving it back to where it started (the middle). Re-load two logs when the others are down to embers. Enjoy!

  • @charltonandjenrick
    @charltonandjenrick2 жыл бұрын

    Hi John, Apologies for the late response, I referred this to our technical team. They say yes you can use MDF around the fire as long as long as you leave an air gap on top of the fire, we say that the fire needs a minimum 20mm air gap on top of the fire. What's the baffle for

  • @charltonandjenrick
    @charltonandjenrick2 жыл бұрын

    The active baffle opens up allowing the smoke to go up the chimney instead of the room when refuelling. it also opens up when starting to enable the stove to be started easier and quicker.

  • @charltonandjenrick

    Hi Robert, When in automatic mode, the baffle opens automatically when you open the door, then closes when you close the door reducing the amount of smoke coming into the room and heat loss. @@charltonandjenrick Hello i have just put my fire on for the first time and my air control is opposite to that shown in the video, my air control opens on the right and to close it down towards the left. • @charltonandjenrick

    @@ratclifferob Hi Robert, If you open the airwash the glass should clear by itself in time although you could clean it as well. The air control goes both ways, depending on whether you are burning wood or coal, and this should be written on the metal control.

  • @charltonandjenrick

    @@ratclifferob Hi Rob, There is no maximum heat a stove should run at, there are too many factors it depends on. What we would say is there is normally a safe zone indicated on any flue thermometer so as a rough guide keep it in that range. Thanks

Open the air control fully (top slider) and the bottom air control fully to start and leave the door ajar. Once the fire has started, close the door and control the heat with the bottom air control. Always leave the top slider open, as closing this might cause your glass to go black.
