Where can I buy the trims from? In the uk
You can buy them from your local authorised dealer, which you can find here- www.charltonandjenrick.co.uk/find-a-showroom/
I have cooked on one of these and it beats all the others hollow! It is the only one you can get the oven truly hot and keep it hot. Don't settle for less
Thanks David 😀 We are pleased to hear you are enjoying your new stove.
Traigan esa estufa a Chile, en la zona sur sería éxito total.
¡Gracias! Nos encantaría abastecer a Chile en el futuro
Where are they made?
They are made in a Chinese factory that we own and operate, after being designed and tested here. This gives us the best combination of quality and value.
Il faut ouvrir la porte pour accéder au réglage c’est dommage
Nous trouvons que cela crée un aspect plus propre à l’avant du poêle
Oh my goodness! Lovely! Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
good sharing
Thanks! I hope you enjoy it 🔥
@@charltonandjenrick you welcome
Can I retrofit a backbox to heat water? I'm guessing not but worth asking the question
Thanks for your question. As far as we know there isn’t anything available on the market that will do this as a retrofit for any current stoves. Unfortunately we don’t have a boiler stove to offer at the moment.
Awesome fire, logs burn for absolutely ages and it heats up the entire house
Thanks! We're pleased to hear your enjoying your stove 🔥
Can this be retrofitted to pv5i?
Hi Andrew, Unfortunately not, the whole design of the firebox changes on stoves with the active baffle fitted so it is not possible to retrofit one.
This is my fire
Great! Thanks for choosing us 🔥
It’s not easy to remove and refit and has very poor diagrams and documentation. Retired consultant engineer.
Hi Charles, Thank you for your comments, we have had many customers comment on how easy it is to remove and replace. Our customer service team are more than happy to help if you have any problems in the future.
I couldn't remove the baffle on mine either until I removed the bolts holding the hooks in at the front. Took myself to hold it in place and gf to replace the hooks. Scientist, still working
Great video but it doesn't show when to move the leaver from ignite to auto. When would you expect to do this please?
A few minutes after the logs catch fire, when they are burning well.
thanks@@charltonandjenrick
could do with a more realistic flame effect, all I can see is 1 flame at the back
It looks exactly like a natural gas fire in real life! The effect is very difficult to capture on video.
Do you supply a wood only plate for your other models live the pv5w? Would they help to improve efficiency if only ever burning wood, or is it best to just let ash build up?
There is no plate to remove on the other Purevision models. There is a small difference in efficiency between fuel types, but it is marginal. It is advisable to leave a thin layer of ash at the bottom, that way, the fire will catch quicker.

Her in scandinavia we fire from the top thanks to share with us this video appreciations 🇩🇰🙏👍
Thanks, we appreciate that 👍 Glad you found it useful.
Ordered one in october..... still no sign of it :(
Hi Lee sorry for the delay in your stove and our response to your comment, the good news is we now have good stocks of these 🔥
@@charltonandjenrick it is installed and is excellent :)
How much is this fire
Hi Julie, The fire itself is £429 Inc VAT. In a package it costs from £515-£746 Inc VAT.
What the the black wire for? Minute 4.26.
Hi Bilaal, I'm sorry I don't see a black wire at that timestamp, there is a black cable at 11:09 which is for mood lighting
Hi, What does the N,D,W mean when you put the remote into heating?
Hi Lee, The codes mean the following N - Normal mode (uses the temperature to turn the fire off) D - Daily mode (time settings to turn heating on at a specific time and off this will also use the temp controls to turn off if it detects the room temp is at the set temp) W - Week mode (this will do a weekly setting to turn on at a specific time setting and will also use the temp setting as the d setting)
I don’t understand why you would choose these?
There are a variety of reasons, for example if you had a well insulated room which didn't need much heat but you still wanted a fireplace, if you wanted to incorporate your TV into your fireplace, or if you wanted the customisation features like being able to change the colour of the fuel bed and flames. We also do a range of gas and wood burning products, videos of which are on our channel which might suit other tastes more.
I have a paragon alcaston gas stove and need to clean the glass but the intructions are not very clear about opening the door etc.
Hi Ian, Thanks for contacting us. If you give our technical team a call, they will be able to help you. Their number is 01952 217 501, Thanks
Could You attach training video? Please .
Hi Mateusz, We don't have a training video for our Fireline range, only our Purevision range. However I have just put together some basic instructions to start and run your stove below. I hope this is useful. To start- One log behind another with plenty of kindling on top, and a firelighter in the middle of the logs (underneath the kindling). After lighting, leave the door ajar (on the catch) until the logs catch on fire, then close. Leave the air control all the way to the right (top lever) When you load a log move the bottom lever to the right for a few minutes to increase burning speed, before moving it back to where it started (the middle). Re-load two logs when the others are down to embers. Enjoy!
Bought one of these, the heater is really powerful and provides great heat however it does heat up the metal above the fans - is it safe to build the surround with MDF? Thanks
Hi John, Apologies for the late response, I referred this to our technical team. They say yes you can use MDF around the fire as long as long as you leave an air gap on top of the fire, we say that the fire needs a minimum 20mm air gap on top of the fire. If you have any other questions, it is best to contact [email protected]
What's the baffle for
The active baffle opens up allowing the smoke to go up the chimney instead of the room when refuelling. it also opens up when starting to enable the stove to be started easier and quicker.
Was hoping to get this but apparently it's to big so will have to have the PVB5, just a question about the baffle, when do i close it ? Or does the automatic do it's thing ?
Hi Robert, When in automatic mode, the baffle opens automatically when you open the door, then closes when you close the door reducing the amount of smoke coming into the room and heat loss. Please see this video for a detailed explanation of how the Active Baffle works- kzread.info/dash/bejne/aaGht7KaabS9gco.html Thanks
@@charltonandjenrick Hello i have just put my fire on for the first time and my air control is opposite to that shown in the video, my air control opens on the right and to close it down towards the left. Is that a problem ? Also is there a temperature to reach to burn the soot off the glass ? or will i just have to clean it ? I think it sooted up because i closed the air control when lighting the fire because air control is the other way around. I have the PVB5.
@@ratclifferob Hi Robert, If you open the airwash the glass should clear by itself in time although you could clean it as well. The air control goes both ways, depending on whether you are burning wood or coal, and this should be written on the metal control.
@@charltonandjenrick Hello i have just figured out that i had to lift the air control over the marker to burn wood because it was set for coal. The glass is clearing slowly. Could you tell me what should be the maximum heat as all thermostats have different heat levels ? Thanks for the swift reply.
@@ratclifferob Hi Rob, There is no maximum heat a stove should run at, there are too many factors it depends on. What we would say is there is normally a safe zone indicated on any flue thermometer so as a rough guide keep it in that range. Thanks
How much does this fire retail for?
Hi Gav, This fire retails for £1,799 including VAT
Is the the slim version? Can you use iPhone as a remote? Thanks
Hi Gav, this is the slim version of the iRange. There is currently no phone application for the operation of this fire
Can not fine Fireline website , please can you advise of it.
Hi Don, Sorry for the confusion, Fireline is part of the Charlton and Jenrick group. Here is a link to the Fireline Stoves section- www.charltonandjenrick.co.uk/products/stoves-2/fireline-stoves/. Thanks
Looks a great but very expensive!! £6k including installation.
Hi Faisal, We're glad you like it, it is worth remembering specialist products like this always cost a lot to design and install and will last you for several years.
Where/what do you connect the mood light cable to?In the manual it only shows it being connected to another cable but not what this cable is or where its located?
Thank you for your comment. They connect simply to the appliance using moulded miniature connector built into the rear right-hand side of the appliance. To find out more about LED Lighting download our free PDF guide here- www.charltonandjenrick.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/LED-Lighting-PDF.pdf
Nice
Thank You!
Hello, can you change the size and the speed of the flame?
Hi Miguel thank you for your comment, You can't change the size or speed of the flame, but you can choose between three flame colours, and thirteen colours for the fuel bed and optional LED lighting if you choose to add this.
@@charltonandjenrick Thanks for the quick answer. Can you adjust the bright level for the flame and the bed?
@ Hi Miguel, this functionality is not available, but I can assure you they are bright enough!
Stunning stove, but for some reason i always have ash and smoke coming into the room when i refuel, i have to do it extremely quickly. Not sure why?
Hi Iwan, this is concerning to hear. I would reccomend you contact our our service department who can help you identify the issues you are having. Their number is 01952 217 501. Thanks

We're glad you like it! The PVR is one of our personal favourites as well 🔥
@@charltonandjenrick hi do you have a video on the correct operation of the FX 8 .I'm following your manual and struggle to get a good heat output. The wood I'm using is at 10 to 12 % hard wood. This video has given me a different approach..so I give it a go .
@@paulsimpson2232 Hi Paul, The way the logs/firelighters are arranged will work for the FX8. Open the air control fully (top slider) and the bottom air control fully to start and leave the door ajar. Once the fire has started, close the door and control the heat with the bottom air control. Always leave the top slider open, as closing this might cause your glass to go black.
Can you change the logs for pebbles on this model
Hi Linda, that is not currently an option, we prefer the realistic log effect that replicates the effect of a real fire. If you want to know more about our large format gas fire range- www.charltonandjenrick.co.uk/products/gas-fires/larger-gas-fires/ Thanks
Thank you very informative
No problem! Glad you found it useful
Had mine less then a year and will not switch on tries but just doesn’t ignite .. any suggestions would be appreciated
Can anyone help with placing the coals ? I’ve followed the instructions in the manual but they seem to just balance, so difficult to get correctly!
Do you recommend this stove? Or what else would you choose?
