What started as simply trying to share a short video in a Facebook group, quickly evolved into this KZread channel and several more R/Cs in my collection. I have found that I enjoy learning how to create videos just as much as R/C. So, here we are! :)

Thats awesome cyberocelot 👌👍 im kind of facing the same type of situation with my Traxxas TRX 4 Ford F150 1/10 high trail and trying to ride a bicycle and carry some drinks too. But im old and not healthy or fit for my age at 51. I really hurt myself a lot in my younger years with bike accidents and self abuse with alcohol. Now i feel like im dying. And its no joke. Im really in a lot of pain taking pain medicine every day and all day. I kind of got the idea of using a backpack when I saw RCgirl from America carrying her Traxxas TRX 4 Ford F150;in a backpack and riding a mountain bike. I honestly dont know how she can though. Great video and you've given me hope . 👍👌
@RCGirl videos have been a MASSIVE help and influence throughout this first year in the hobby for me. I have the Traxxas backpack she uses as well, but I prefer this one now because the vehicle is latched higher up near my shoulders, and that makes the rig feel much lighter. The water bag and easy access to my tripods and cameras also means I don't have to keep taking the backpack off. :) We are not very different, my friend. I'm so sorry you live with chronic pain. I live with chronic pain as well, so I understand the physical and emotional pain that brings. I started on a program called, "DDP Yoga" that helped me a lot. I HIGHLY recommend you look it up and get started. It's really turning things around for me. I'm hoping it will do the same for you!

This is the 1:10 TRX-4 High Trail. Prior to this segment of the trail, the motor was upgraded to Hobbywing Fusion Pro 2300kv.

LOL! Yeah, this truck definitely didn't come back unscathed. She's been fixed and cleaned up. It's almost unrecognizable now. I'll see if I can get some footage of the truck's updated look in a future video. :)

@CyberOcelotRC I did! Love it, it has priceys shocks, hobbywing fusion pro, shift s2.0 servo and a bunch of ssd brass and it's a blast. Also did wheels and tires and the shocks which lowered it but kept all the flex.

Anyone else wanna chime in? What do you think of these upgrades/mods as go-to firsts for this truck?
The car throttling by itself at the end looked like it might have just been your transmitter batteries getting low.
the only upgrade that Toyota needs is a winch. A good scale winch, like the licensed scale Warn 8274 from RC4WD (which would be period correct for this truck), with a matching bumper. Give it that, and it shouldn't really need anything else. You could put better tires on it (not bigger, just a softer compound and/or different foams), and that might be of benefit too, but the single most important thing you can do for any truck you're going to play with like this, is a winch. I'd put that RC4WD Warn 8274 on all of them if it was up to me.
AGREED! I feel like every truck should have a winch, really. In this case however, I really don't want this truck to start looking different from how it looks in the film, and that limits me a bit (which is a big part of the reason I have it as Level 1). During the cold spell, I have been working on this truck's upgrade. Hopefully I can get that video uploaded soon, and see what you think! :)
@@CyberOcelotRC fortunately, there are things like servo winches and internally mounted winches, that you can hide behind the grille or somewhere inside the chassis, and then you just need to place your fairlead. You could even have the winch mid or rear mounted with the fairlead coming out the back, as some crawlers already do. There are lots of options to hide the winch to not spoil the appearance of the truck. Something to think about, anyway. Even if you don't want to raise this one up to a higher level, it does provide some self recovery options for something like being high centred on a big log.

@@CyberOcelotRC The RGT Challenger RTR is worth looking at if you need some ideas. This thing comes with a servo winch, mounted in the back under the bed between the rear shock risers. I bet there's room under the bed between the frame rails in that Toyota for a similar setup.
Looks like a lot of fun on the trail! I can’t imagine trying to do this without entering the trail!
It's so fun! It's definitely much more intense and challenging! I basically just go by satellite images and testimonials from other hikers.

Thanks for hanging out throughout the expedition, Jarrod! The truck seemed more capable than me climbing that slick incline. My knee still hurts from a good splat I editted out of the video. LOL! Working on expanding on the Trailing Blind idea. Hope to have another video up soon. But, wanna take my time on the next one, and see if I can do better quality wise. Hope to see you around when that video pops too. WOuld love to get your thoughts on it. :)

Do it!!! I've never done this before. I can't get my mind off it. Can't wait to go back. This was just the first 25 ft of the trail. Apparently, it's nearly a mile long.
