Looks like you're using the Full Sensitivity and getting ground Feedback from the detector and I have just recently got the X-Terra Pro and the Equinox 600 and also a First Minelab owner and I don't have the Detector's on the Full Sensitivity without expecting the ground Feedback and the Jumpy VDI and I started with 12 Sensitivity and worked my way up to get a better idea of what it was trying to tell me what the target is and I'm at 18 Sensitivity Now and like you when you get a Jumpy VDI it's going to be a Junk Target, but just lower it down just below the Full Sensitivity Mark and I'm not sure what it is on your detector but on the X-Terra Pro it's 20 and 😲 WoW it is a totally different Detector than the All the Time being jumpy VDI and Not locking to Any kind of Numbers but just lower the Sensitivity down and I found a target that was in the 6 inch range and I have lowered the Sensitivity down until I lost the target and then I raised it up until I found it again and it was At 12 Sensitivity and I have worked my way back up and I can really tell when I get a Junk Target And I don't need to be able to Dig a hole to China Anyway and the Full Sensitivity without any kind of ground Feedback.....

My brand new Nox 700 had a horrible depth of about 1-2" after several hunts before I realized it wasn't doing much. Not only the depth but the readings were all over the place and couldn't be trusted. I returned it for the 900 which is obviously greater but mostly because the 700 was clearly defective, whether it was the 11" coil or the 700. I wonder if there's just bad coils out there.

My 700 is the same way. I have an old house and the yard is loaded with iron. For 14 years I have dug every non ferrous signal with multiple machines. Including the 800. I just got this 700 and I cannot believe how much non ferrous I have found with it. But it loves some nails, all bolts and screws even small ones, even when they are out of the ground. I cannot knock them out horseshoe or not and with ferrous maxed out. I don’t mind in my yard as I found a coins recently with it, a silver dime and a Indian head and several wheats and some relics. I can dig as many holes as I want in my yard. I found it is more of a pain in parks though. I really wish it had more adjustability. Because I used the 900 with a iron bias of zero and dug less iron than this 700 with it maxed out. The 700 will knock out rusty bottle caps effectively though for some reason.
