    Great group! Outstanding marksmanship. My CZ P 10 F has the factory threaded barrel. I’m impressed with the accuracy but I would prefer a regular one. I have replaced the elevated sights. My slide hasn’t been milled for a dot sight, still shooting irons at 74. At least for awhile , yet. Keep shooting and I’ll keep watching.

  • @JoeMustang99
    @JoeMustang99Ай бұрын

    The PM barrel will be a great replacement for your threaded barrel. You could try a dovetail mount for a red dot but milling the slide is a lot cleaner. I still have dovetail mounts on my P-09 and 97B.

    I’m impressed. Have you replaced the original barrel?

  • @JoeMustang99
    @JoeMustang99Ай бұрын

    Yes. I have a Primary Machine match barrel in the gun now, but it shot very well with the factory barrel. The PM barrel is easier to clean, but my factory barrel was really good. Take a look at Tuesday's video to see how the gun shoots when the shooter is having a better day.

    I noticed with mine, it drops free and everything, but in terms of mag insertion, if i sort of push on the bottom of the magazine towrds the muzzle as i insert it, the mag can sometimes get caught on the part of the frame under i believe, the trigger bar. Is that inherent to the firearm or just mine? Would you know by any chance? Ty!

    Of course all the expert would say to take more time , use most of the ten minutes . Good shooting . How does the reflective red dot work in timed and rapid , any trouble picking it up ? I prefer the tubular ultra dot from yesteryears.

  • @JoeMustang99
    @JoeMustang994 ай бұрын

    I have a tube ultradot on my rimfire pistol that I like a little better, but the Burris is surprisingly good, and I still use the Burris on several pistols and the later Holosun on two. No trouble with any of them in timed and rapid. Thanks for asking. (This video is from a few years back!)

  • @JoeMustang99
    @JoeMustang999 ай бұрын

    Yes, give Cajun Gun Works (CGW) a call or look at their website for the parts package that includes their hammer and sear and springs. I've had their parts in my 75B for nearly 10 years, I think.

    If you’re a DIY person consider - lighter trigger return spring. Lighter hammer spring. Extra power firing pin spring. Polish the trigger bar ( particularly where the disconnector comes into contact with the trigger bar) lightly polish the disconnector. Or, send it off to a trusted gunsmith as Joe recommends. Good luck!

    @@cocowonderdog I've built a decent 1911 out of a Norinco (thanks to Bill Wilson for taking my money and giving me quality), also have revolver experience. so I guess I'll get some sand paper and dive into the CZ.

  • @cocowonderdog
    @cocowonderdog8 ай бұрын

    @@nazdagg1945 - Awesome! Easiest things to do would be the springs. Note the lighter the hammer spring the more likely your going to experience (possibly) light primer strikes. An extended firing pin will remedy that. Good Luck!

    After each shooting session I wet a patch with BoreTech C4 carbon remover and with a jag push the wet patch right into that lead area and let sit. After it sits 15-20 min I will work the patch back and forth for several short strokes. Second patch the same but when done push all the way through. Next I wet patch just like the first one and if it does not come out clean usually a fourth patch does it. After the last wet patch I send a couple dry patches through then a lightly oiled patch to finish. Bore scoping with this method shows area forward of the chamber free of carbon. Notice I only push one patch of C4 through the barrel.

    In 9mm, P-09 and P-10F, in .45 97B"E, but I like them all. I've warmed up to the strikers, and I never expected that. I still like hammers a tad bit more, however. In steel, especially, like the 75B and 97B"E".

  • @JoeMustang99
    @JoeMustang9911 ай бұрын

    I think they are a about equal at 100 and 200 yards in a 4.5" or longer barrel. The zero is slightly different so I don't use them interchangeably. The AA is still my standard, but the IMI is surprisingly good. Thanks for taking a look at the video.

    I've tried several different rest designs but always go back to the wood block and one rag. I still have two Sig P226's. The Stainless Steel Extreme is my favorite. I put a dovetail mount red dot on it for a short time, then went back to the CZ's I shot a lot of IDPA matches with the SSE, however. Years ago.

    @@JoeMustang99 The Sig P226 I have is a Stainless Elite model, it could be the same as the one you have, I recently put a dovetail mount red dot on it but have not got it zero in yet. I shoot IPSC once or twice a year and I would normally use my favorite Walther PPQ M2. It's an inexpensive pistol with great accuracy and surprisingly well-made.

    It helps to be lucky as well as somewhat competent. I had 4 good targets on Thursday, with a total of 5 shots off the target an inch or so, so I am getting pretty consistent. But that sub 2" 5 shot sequence is just plain lucky coincidence.
