This makes me think of a clockwork automaton doing ballet. Initially, it's all elegant and poised, but as the squeaking noises come in, the dancer's body starts hitching. A joint freezes at the wrong time, a leg moves a little too fast, as if it's lost all control over its body, but can't stop trying. Slowly, though, the dancer starts to find a rhythm in its erratic convulsions, and claws its routine back together. It's one of those 'order through chaos' ideas.

when i discovered this song, that ending ambience had me hypnotised and reminded me of a specific dream i had as a child. i felt things i havent felt in many years. it has such comforing, cold yet warm, nostalgic yet haunting feel.
