@@samuelgreen9062 Yes same oil for transfer case and front and rear diffs, as long as you don’t have the LSD in the rear as that has a different oil.

It’s a lookout for wildfires, I think it would be manned during the summer but all locked up for the winter. Made a fun place to do a 3 point turn 😂

Cracking video, we're posting to Epi in August and thinking of doing the same as our dog has never flown before. Did you have to pay any import charges for your car?

We didn’t pay anything to import as we’d already got in touch with SBA Customs and they dropped off all the paperwork at the port ready for us. But be warned depending on the age of your vehicle the road tax is ridiculous! As ours over ten years old and a diesel it’s about €2000 for the year 🤮 so something to look at, newer cars aren’t as expensive.

@@JonesyfamilyAJ325 Yeah definitely makes sense with the dog against the cost of flying them out and you will have an epic adventure on the way, we will be driving back when we leave. Just make sure to book well in advance for the pet kennels on the ship as they book up fast. Also our dog was too big (he’s massive tho) for the kennels so check on the scandroholding website. The customs bit was easy have a look on SBA customs website and get in touch with them.

The best walk around anywhere, thanks for taking the time to do this. So many subtle differences from the first gen Jackal 2 to the Mali version, I wonder what changes have happened since you shot this video? I understand OPSEC but another more current walk around would be excellent, great work, thank you.

Thanks mate glad you liked it! Definitely a lot of little improvements on the first gen, most notable is more space in the back for the crew and better stowage. Not sure if there’s many more updates other than an inclinometer to try and prevent rollovers, but I’d say that’s more driver error! 🙈

Totally different beasts! Can’t beat the Disco for comfort and I loved the utilitarian interior design, but as I started working on my own cars you can’t beat the Toyota for ease of maintenance and reliability. The Toyota is far more simplistic but I think that what I needed! For me the Land Rover was just too expensive to keep going!

Exactly the same thing happened to me, replaced a busted shock absorber and had to play around the axle, came to realise a couple of days later that moving the boots around had created a leak. Very thorough instructions and close up views, thanks a lot!!

Lovely video, amazing scenery 😍. We are planning to the same mainly bacause of our puppy. Could you travel to Greece non stop? How long do you reckon it would take ? Also is there accommodation on board of ferry? Thank you in advance.

Thank you it was an epic drive I loved it! The ferry has a few classes of accommodation you can choose from, check out scandro holdings website for all the price lists, it’s not actually that expensive and it’s only an extra 50 euros for the dog so makes it a very viable option when compared to costs of shipping a pet. Be warned tho as the pet slots are limited and sell out fast so book well in advance. If you have two drivers sharing the drive you could definitely smash it out in 2-3 days check out @inourcase on KZread they did a good video on their move to Greece. Also a good Facebook group we used for info is road trip: UK to Greece & back they will tell you about borders to avoid etc and toll road and routes. We made a holiday out of it and wild camped where we could I didn’t want to drive more than 6 hours a day as it’s just me driving but deffo achievable with couple over night stops.
