  I only accidentally came across this version. It's my favorite one. I like it better than GOS' original version--and I remember that version well. It had a sort of misleading tone to it that had the effect of masking the words, and I never paid much attention to it. But when I saw you perform it, it completely changed the song for me forever. I also play the guitar and sing and have a large catalog of songs: the chordation here is very appealing. I tried to play it a little, but I found that I could not get through the song without breaking down in tears. I think it's better when you are too young to understand the full import of the song, as you say in your comments below. At this stage of my life (I'm 70), it is just too painful for me to perform. In any case, thank you for this, I think you did a wonderful job with it and I shared it with my musician friends on FB.

  What can I say? Your cover is beautiful, heartfelt and deeply touching. You said you are nowhere near the age of feeling the pain this song says but we all know that "some" people feel it regardless of their age. Well done! 🎉
