    Exhaust filter - many thanks, successfully replaced the hose. Couldn't have done it without this video. My small screws took a T7 and not a T8, but I bought a set of cheap torx so it may be them that is the problem and not your instructions!

    The black gasket on the clear cover was already loose when I took it apart, but now I can NOT get it back on there. More than half of it is hanging and is very stretched out and will not stay in place now. What do I do now or any tips to get it to seal back in place?

  • @richardsvacuumcenter

    You can use a drop of super glue to keep it in place and just trim the excess off

    Thank you for this. And you're awesome do doing it. It's strange, when I put everything back together. I suddenly had 2 extra screws. I keep trying to figure out where they came from.. But now there is no / very low suction when I put the head back on. I double check everything carefully. When the head is off, big suction power in both positions. When the head is on, there's barely any suction coming from the main head. I blow vape around it to see if there's a leak, but nothing. Any suggestions?

    Great video. A lot of help. The screw with the funny plastic washer is a bit more accessible if you adjust the hose to the other position.

    Follows this tutorial exactly and (given having the right torque driver) had the repair done in about 20 minutes. $27 later and the D11 runs like new!

    I've always found it so difficult to "pop this nozzle off" (about the 48 second mark). My hands don't seem to be strong enough. As a consequence, I don't clean the thing nearly as often as I ought to. Any suggestions?

    Dude at five minutes 30 of your video , that pop-up section does not work on certain v 11s I think Dyson started to heat seem it in. You might wanna redo the video or at least update this video with some comments.

    Particularly poor design when you consider both that the battery can take quite a bit of downward pressure when in use (sort of functions as a stabilizing brace) and the sustained downward (away from the trigger assembly) pressure applied to it while it’s in the charging cradle mounted to a wall. The weight of the entire assembly is outboard of the battery in that scenario and constantly stressing that single screw apparently.

    My V11 is pulsing, put new filter and blew out with 100psi air (I do this regularly) hoping a strip and clean will fix, if not I guess it is a sensor 🤷🏼 If anyone out there has any info on this I would welcome feedback :-) Jeff

  • @richardsvacuumcenter
    @richardsvacuumcenter5 күн бұрын

    If you remove the cyclone as per the video and keep the new filter in does it still pulse? If so you probably have a bad motor/board. Pulsing can mean a clog but it can also mean a bad motor

    Great job. I Really like your videos. I recently bought a brand new Blizzard CX1 Pure Suction machine that was the canister only, no hose, etc. I bought all the rest of the parts, some from Miele, others from people on eBay and completed the machine. It works great. I also bought an extra fine dust cartridge filter, and alternate them between cleanings so I always have a clean one ready to go when the time comes.

    Thanks a million! I've used the water method and let it dry in the HOT 100 plus degree days and not gotten a funky stink, but, the vacuum had been relegated to cleaning the garage floor because it wasn't working well in the house. I have hope that it will work well now that it's had a very deep clean. I found your video very helpful. My vacuum is an Animal 2, UP20, and things were different, but the basics were the same!

    My SV12 base section has major cracks all the way round the trigger section and going down to the battery. I was really lucky to get the full section, the one you're holding at 3:10 plus a wall mount, plug and a battery in good health. I've wanted to set another charge point upstairs so it was well worth £19+9 delivery. Another purchase I'm pleased with is a electric air duster. Quick blast once a week for 2 minutes and lots of fine dust is removed. Two quick questions is it okay to always use the hoover at maximum power? Will it effect the battery or motor? There's a lot of heat produced at this setting. Also when cleaning is it okay to remove all the dust? I think Dyson said you need to leave it around gaskets for lubrication?

    An absolutely brilliant “how to” video to enable me to fix a friend’s “V11 absolute” including the little problems that might be encountered during disassembly and assembly. One point that I can possibly give a useful comment on is that I didn’t have a long shafted Torx T8 driver, but made do with a little Torx driver that was included in a sat nav battery replacement kit which would comfortably fit down the long trigger grip handle. This tool wasn’t quite long enough but had a useful hex shape at the far end of the handle that fitted into a 9/32” socket - job done!!! Thanks once again for giving us amateur menders the knowledge to accomplish this repair job.
