Just be aware that if you have steel walls and get a hole in the liner, the salt will cause corrosion. You really need polymer walls for vinyl pools.

Looks a lot newer then 30 years. Not a single weed or blade of grass or any erosion etc around that nice fresh new dirt with the nice new cut line dug around the pipe. And hard to believe that not a single person ever needed to access or find the vent in 30 years.

Ph runs high with salt cells ph must be balanced weekly High ph means your pool is alkaline which means it will start to scale ie the white line around the pool. Your skin will be tingly when. Your in it. Also it makes chlorine but it needs cya cynaric acid to be around 50 to 80 in cya is like lotion that protects chlorine from being used to rapidly. Salt cell is useless once water temperature is 55 degrees or less which when they have to be shut off. They have abot four thousand hrs of life every time you clean you deplete the life of salt cell. In a nutshell. Benifits i hear from my customer's is they float in water it better on skin if you have sensitive or ashy skin and it can be alot cheaper if other chemicals are balanced you can keep any pool clean with chlorine for a long time but if you dont test those other chemicals it will crash meaning it always wNts to go back to original state ie a pond Good Day
