I agree with your comments, absolutely gorgeous! Like a "Starliner Squier"! Too kool... 😎
All these "structured" walls in the bedroom and in the toilet are a horrible dust collectors. Can you imagine having to dust off all the circles on the back wall behind the beds? Thanks, but no, thanks! There's enough surfaces to clean and scrub in the household as it is, why add more?
Pure perfection, This one is incredible!
What an awesome home and owner! Thank you Charles and host for finding and sharing. My grandmother had the Maytags, American manufacturing at its finest and the Cadillac too, best years ever for quality and style. A beautiful home.
Charles, you should have the owner do a horn honk in every video. It would be a hoot not to mention interesting.
When I was a kid my mon had a black 60 Galaxy 500. I’ve wanted a 60 Starliner or Sunliner ever since. Beautiful car!
Best designed Ford model of the decade ansd a swan song to real Ford styling...before they went slab-sided. The '60 Starliner is a work of art.
Good times . American car companies could make big , floaty rides and fuel economy be damned ! Everyone was happy .
Another great Car! Thank you Charles!!
Stunning. 😍😍
No round taillights No Thunderbird roof
Yes those V8s had some power - but the 352 with 360hp was a special limited version with high compression, manifolds, big carbs etc. But that motor sounds great probably 300hp or so - plenty of power for that little coupe ha. 🏁
My uncle had a 1961 iirc with the more traditional grill. It was Burgundy and Dusty 🤣🤣🤣
Isn't that a 59 Ford?
The sheer expanse of open window area is striking
Beautiful, absolutely stunning pieces and the home as a whole! Amazing job collecting and decorating with all those marvelous pieces. Everything looks so fine! I love those fonts and logos on everything! "Made Only By General Motors"! LOL! I live! Why didn't they put also "And No One Else!"? It's not like they didn't have enough space there! LOL! Love it!
By far the ugliest Buick ever made while the next year was the one I like the best.
A stunningly beautiful car with a spectacular history. Regrettably I choose to dislike your presentation, and you know why.
It looks like a 1958 Edsel from the side.
Love this
A flamers driving my '58 Super!?😮
The only thing better in the entire universe (of cars) is the 1960 Sunliner. Talk about the sky's the limit. Yes, the Starliner lets you reach for the stars, but the Sunliner gives you the sun, the moon and the stars. If you are really lucky you will have a 1960 Edsel Ranger convertible so you can go to Altair IV to rescue Altaira. I known. Do you know? 🛸
Late 50s, Early 60s by the big three, I know!!!
The 1960 Ford was a clean sheet design that made it into the most ever Ford that did not look like a Ford. The 1961 Ford wagon was the most redesigned 1960 Ford model because in addition to restoring traditional Ford styling cues the rear was significantly redesigned to accommodate a roll-down tailgate window.
I have a fully restored black 1961 390 tri-power 4 speed Starliner. Back in the mid 70's I had a white 352/360 HP 4 speed Starliner that I sold regretfully.
Reversing the rear springs rear shackles, stupid idea.
I had forgotten just tell beautiful this car was. It truly was ahead of its time and my goodness the styling was magnificent.
Nice one Charles! Good for the wonderful woman owner who has invested a lot to maintain this beautiful MID-CENTURY MASTERPIECE!
Beautiful styling and perfect color choice
Unlike a lot of others, I have always loved the look of Ford's 1960 full-size car. But upon looking at the full frontal view in this video, it looks a little Plymouth-y. So unlike the 1959 and 1961 Fords, perhaps the '60 Ford had a little Virgil Exner influences?
I know a guy with two beautiful 1960 Starliners..... both black with red interior and both with 427's.... really cool cars.
When I saw this video, I thought I wonder if this is the same car I have seen a couple of times around South Pasadena, and sure enough, it's THE ONE
Underrated. This was the first year of a new body design, clearly done by some of the same guys who worked on the 1961 Lincoln and also the German Ford 1960 Taunus.. With Ford's own "Thunderbird" roofs becoming fashionable, this 1957 Plymouth style two door hardtop roofline only lasted that one year.
I do adore those old Caddy’s there’s nothing else like them. They really were every bit as opulent as a Rolls Royce of the day but with a big ol’ V8 to move it all. And those seats look spectacular and feel better than any leather idk why they don’t make a comeback in luxury cars, I’d bet they’d be more sustainable as well.
Thank you Jesus I don't have a voice like that. omg.
The trunk is off.
Charles what a great find. I like the 1961 better with the round tail lights.
That car had the Eaton "linkage-type" power steering unit; it doesn't have power brakes. I think that 352 cu. in. is a FE engine. Ford also had a 332 cu. in. they offered in 1959 that was also an FE engine. That was the last year for the rear window that lifted up; 1961 had the window that cranked down into the tailgate that was power or manual. Later, Ford had the 3-way magic tailgate in 1966. GREAT VIDEO!
That is one beautiful car,, Love to have one just like this,, At least I can dream ..😂👍👍👍👍👍
The Original headliner had little Stars punched out in it
Beautiful Ford, but the back is sitting a wee bit too high!
I thought so too. It looks a little hot rodded.
Gorgeous bit of machinery. The thing I appreciate most is the appreciation that Charles expresses with that superb collection of superlatives ❤️❤️
Traded my friend in 61 a j2 olds conv 57 for one of them traded it infor a 60 cad conv olds had no air cond friend wanted the olds 352 was probably220- 300 HP
The 352 was a good engine but no powerhouse. The 390 which was the same block was much more powerful. We had a 61 country Sedan with a 352 which my father rebuilt. A 64 wagon and my bro in law had a 62 Thunderbolt all with that engine.
The 1960 352 Hi Po with solid lifters and iron headers was damn hot for the time at 360 HP . And was the first U.S. engine rated at more HP than cubic inches. I'd say the 352 Hi Po would easily beat the non Hi Po 390 of the following year.
The STARLINER Was Only Built In 1960 & 1961. And These Two Are My Favorate Model FORDS . Thanks For Showing But Did You Ever Do A Video On The 61 STARLINER ????? Sure Would Like To See That Also.
I've always loved this car. Always. Can't afford a real one, but since I was a kid (I'm 66), I've been into building model cars. AMT has a fantastic model kit of this car, which I recently completed - guess that will have to do unto I win the lottery!
so many ways to have a cocktail !
Let’s get this right out the in the open, this car is beautiful.
I bought my wife a 2022 , Lexus SUV. Top of the line. My wife drove two weeks. Told me I really wanted a Mercedes SUV. I went out and bought a new 2022 , GLK 350.
oh man...one of my all time fav fords. truly a unique style, different from before and after. and the big engine in this one too. really a personal jet to the stratosphere.
