This. “I’m not ok. Is that ok with you?” That part wrecked me. Cause he’s teaching me that he can handle my bitterness and resentment towards him. So long as I bring my true feelings to him, he can make something out of them and I will get to the other side of the grief of my complex childhood Ptsd.

I remember in the story of Joseph, God did not tell him under what circumstances his brothers would bow down to him. God told him nothing about Egypt, nor did He tell him all that he would go through before the dream came true. Perhaps if He had, Joseph would have responded, as would we, "I'm not going through all of that!" But then, Joseph's brothers bowing was only a small part of God's plan. No doubt as the years went by, Joseph questioned God about everything. It wasn't just the injustice and betrayal that tried Joseph, the cold floor and the colder food, but the Psalms tell us that, "The word of the Lord tried him." (Psalm 105:19). I can imagine Joseph's doubts and questions over the years. The monotony of just depending upon God, day after day after day. "God, why aren't You moving? Why aren't You answering my prayers? Why is this happening? Did You really speak to me, or did I imagine it all?" But when the time was right, and God's work was completed in Joseph's heart, he went forth equipped and ready to do what God called him to do. So hold on everyone. Let God complete His will and purpose in your heart. He has a plan for you far beyond what you could ask or think.

I absolutely love this song. A few days I asked God to give me a reminder that he's there and yesterday night I definitely got one. I've been at a church camp this week and the last night we were sharing our testimonies and I didn't want to share because I'm shy and introverted. But I had the thought that it's okay if it's not my time to share and that the leader would say at the end "To those who didn't share their testimonies, we know you have one in your heart." And at the end when all those who wanted to share were done, the leader said EXACTLY that. It was so special because we were in Moab, under the star filled night sky, surrounded by beautiful mountains and desert landscape, with the beautiful sound of the big river. It was not a coincidence and I know that was his little reminder to confirm that he knows I have a testimony and it's okay that I didn't share. Your song has made me be more aware of the reminders in my daily life. I absolutely love it and it always lifts me up and gives me hope! Thank you so much, may God bless you🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍

I remember in the story of Joseph, God did not tell him under what circumstances his brothers would bow down to him. God told him nothing about Egypt, nor did He tell him all that he would go through before the dream came true. Perhaps if He had, Joseph would have responded, as would we, "I'm not going through all of that!" But then, Joseph's brothers bowing was only a small part of God's plan. No doubt as the years went by, Joseph questioned God about everything. It wasn't just the injustice and betrayal that tried Joseph, the cold floor and the colder food, but the Psalms tell us that, "The word of the Lord tried him." (Psalm 105:19). I can imagine Joseph's doubts and questions over the years. The monotony of just depending upon God, day after day after day. "God, why aren't You moving? Why aren't You answering my prayers? Why is this happening? Did You really speak to me, or did I imagine it all?" But when the time was right, and God's work was completed in Joseph's heart, he went forth equipped and ready to do what God called him to do. So hold on everyone. Let God complete His will and purpose in your heart. He has a plan for you far beyond what you could ask or think.

I absolutely love this song. A few days I asked God to give me a reminder that he's there and yesterday night I definitely got one. I've been at a church camp this week and the last night we were sharing our testimonies and I didn't want to share because I'm shy and introverted. But I had the thought that it's okay if it's not my time to share and that the leader would say at the end "To those who didn't share their testimonies, we know you have one in your heart." And at the end when all those who wanted to share were done, the leader said EXACTLY that. It was so special because we were in Moab, under the star filled night sky, surrounded by beautiful mountains and desert landscape, with the beautiful sound of the big river. It was not a coincidence and I know that was his little reminder to confirm that he knows I have a testimony and it's okay that I didn't share.
