If anyone's still struggling, the Floral sorceress (LV4) makes this fight easy. Whenever Ulv depletes his stamina, he gets staggered for like 10 seconds. A successful flurry from the sorceress drains half his stamina bar. Rinse and repeat for each phase :) Also used the Western Merchant.

The best spirit you can have in countering this guy, is the Headless Knight, or the Secret Experiment (jar dude). If you time it right, you don't have to rely on the stagger bar since it will give you a few seconds of opening to hack em away. Also, the Executioner is another key spirit to land a free hit. Since its always behind him when it attacks, and guarantee's a hit since he can't block it, use it whenever he backs away, or when he is a bit further from you. To avoid his sudden thrusts, always be in-front of him, since he will perform a winding jab allowing you to hit him a few times at the back, but in the third phase, you'll have to abandon the strategy since he can now do a 360. Best of luck to ya'll in your first run.

Took me about 10 tries then I managed to do the first 2 phases hitless and beat him with a slither of health left at the end. This game is criminally underrated

Took me about five tries first time around. Once I knew his attacks he was an easy match and only took one time this last time I played through. I paired that HP heal Relic alongside Castle Town Maiden and the Merchant and I only had to heal once. That healing relic is a godsend for such a fight but you still have to pace yourself and be careful. It's such a fun and fast paced fight! My favorite after Hoenir.

I beat the boss two hours later. Use a special ability with Eleine's spell while jumping with the boss to deal huge damage to him. You need to make sure that as many magic balls as possible hit the boss.

I show locations in the video after this one. To get one, you need to solve the Suicide Room in the Princely Quarters. For another, you need eight orbs and the ability to talk to the people in the crimson rooms, then talk to the guy in the crimson room in Tourvelle. For the third, you need all of the Von Viltheim equipment and then you have to beat Anna Von Viltheim.

He's literally the concept of "When you don't want to be shot so you jump as much as you can". Btw, I can't believe that in my first play I defeat him the 2n time, but now I'm taking forever, help- What did I do before that I'm not doing now? :D I'm thinking it's because I was near level 50 before (if I correcly recall), now I'm just 33. Ulv has to be the most frustrating but fun boss fight. The area is beautiful, the soundtrack is a masterpiece and this guy forced me to learn patterns and time my parries instead of constantly dodging or panic dodging. It was a magnificent dance. I tend to play defensively but with him, it’s offensive especially after I mastered parrying.

There's no way to appreciate how much work 1:41 and 5:51 takes until you play the game yourself. If your notes aren't good then you're roadblocked.

i didnt enjoyed this fight as much because i hate bosses that read your inputs, this guys keeps "knowing" when you are going to atack and just dodges out of the way wich just turns the fight in a bait dance, its not a terrible fight, but was kind of anoying in my opinion

I wouldn’t say “read” he doesn’t act on input. There are times when he dodges your attacks there are times when he doesn’t. If anything I love the aggressiveness of this fight. I just beat him today. He forced me to actually learn timing and parrying. It was breathtaking.

I beated him on first try. He's not that hard. Just always dash behind him and we should be 80% safe from his attacks. He's very slow. Easy to read his attacks. Ulv is harded (took 4 tries to beat him) but not that challenging,

what is it that makes people struggle with Julius and Ulv? because I'll admit, I found Gerrod and Miriel significantly harder honestly in my personal opinion I find Julius to actually be one of easiest bosses in the game, possibly even the easiest overall...

Thanks man, I beat him using the western merchant and the castle town maiden. Relics used were… soiled prayer beads, cracked familiar stone, holy spring water, Fretia’s ring, ancient dragon claw, royal aegis crest, giants ring, the immortal crest is badass, a must have, and the priestess doll, one thing I don’t understand is that the other relic, the white priestess statue does the same thing but takes up 4 slots instead of 3. But that combination worked well, as well as the dashing and slashing
