  Hello, is it translucent? I need it for translucent UV resin to increase the viscosity simular to crystallised honey consistency. To use it as a gap filler and especially for bonding. The uv resin is to low in viscosity. It runs of like water, which makes it almost impossible to use for the purpose described above.

  Yes, it is not good for your eyes. Can be anything from irritation to much much worse. Any chemical, especially in powder form, is extremely dangerous as it can be accidently inhaled. silica inhaled will destroy lung tissue very quickly. Imagine what it does to the rest of your body. Here is what 2 seconds of Googling can find on the subject: Silica, Amorphous (Fume) can irritate the eyes on contact. Repeated exposure can damage the eye. * High exposure to Silica, Amorphous (Fume) can cause a flu-like illness with headache, fever, chills, aches, chest tightness and cough. So yeah... non toxic, and by that they must mean just incase you eat it... but don't get it in your eyes/lungs as it goes into the blood stream and will cause liver failure.

  no, they are not the same. Both of their basic material is silica, and fumed silica is included in silicon dioxide, it's also called colloidal silicon dioxide. But silicon dioxide and fumed silica differ in product properties, structure and application.
