Discus America

Discus America

Discus America was established 9 years ago in Las Vegas by Mike who is an enthusiast in love with Discus fish. A place in Las Vegas where other enthusiasts can find high quality discus fish at affordable prices. Mike began to build our holding facility in 2015 with the help of his father, Yanko and started importing discus. Slowly but surely the holding facility grew and so did Mikes dream. In the summer of 2016 he met another enthusiast Miguel, who came in looking for discus and was impressed with the selection and quality of Mike’s discus. Miguel kept coming back not only to buy more fish to add to his collection but was also impressed with Mikes state of the art holding facility.
Miguel and Mike having the same passion for the hobby became friends and shortly after business partners.
We now produce captive bred F1 and F2 Rio Atabapo Pterophyllum Altum Angelfish in our Altum Angelfish breeding facility, the captive bred Altums are a lot easier to keep than the wild caught Altums.

I have one last question and then I won't bother you again :) My double angel fish are laying eggs in the tank and I don't want to separate them, I want the parents to take care of the eggs, they are actually taking care of the eggs, there is no problem. However, after laying the eggs, I leave the light of the aquarium on so that the parents can see the eggs. What do you think? Is it true? If not, what method should I follow after the egg laying process is completed? I would be grateful if you answer, best regards

Hello, can you please help me with this issue. I have a pair of angel fish. They lay eggs, but the eggs turn fungus on the first day. Do you think the aquarium light should be turned off after the angel fish lay eggs? Or should the light remain on all the time? If you respond, I would be very happy. Thank you very much. Also, at what temperature should I keep the temperature?

Based on our experience of breeding Altum Angelfish and regular angelfish, the light doesn't mater in regards to the eggs but it is always good to have some light if you are leaving the pair to take care of the spawn, we breed Altum Angelfish at 82 degrease Fahrenheit
