    @@nopal4025 They're too soft and squishy in the sole that some people will feel wobbly. If you don't have the best balance or don't like lots of movement in the sole when running then I wouldn't recommend because its super soft but the 880 v14 by new balance would be a great option, similar looks but a much firmer cushion if you need that stability

    Whats confusing is: so as a high cadence runner, i should get the cadence shoe (edge), which support increase of cadence.... But, really, i dont want to increase it nor do feel like i struggle maintaining it (i do 180 at differing speeds, got them shorter legs) ... Am yet to try these in store, but just a thought, would it make sense that, if i lack stride length could the sky sort of boost that in a way? Does this go against the brands idea of the two metaspeeds

  • @paceathletic_au
    @paceathletic_au2 ай бұрын

    Definitely - the 1080 uses their 'fresh foam X' midsole (NB's softest, most plush foam), whilst the Rebel uses 'Fuel Cell' midsole (light, poppy, springy foam). Both are great, but offer a different experience :)

  • @paceathletic_au
    @paceathletic_au2 ай бұрын

    More recent research suggests that pronation doesn't equal an increased risk of injury. Whilst there is certainly a place for stability shoes (and we sell alot of them), pronation doesn't necessary mean you need them. Thanks for the comment :)

    Is this shoes great for daily training?

  • @paceathletic_au
    @paceathletic_au3 ай бұрын

    Generally speaking, we would recommend them more for 'tempo' runs, as your typical daily trainer will tend to have a bit more stability and durability. The rebel is best saved for a good time, not a long time :)

    So I know you can run hard , cruisebut can you do a long faced walk and be comfortable. I used to run alot had total knee surgery and I need something under 8mm specifically 4mm that doesn't hurt the knee. Until I can run again will these work while I progress from walk to jog ro run

  • @paceathletic_au
    @paceathletic_au3 ай бұрын

    These will be very comfy for walking, but the questions would be , A) Are they stable enough (i.e do you need any 'support' ) ? B) Is durability in your walking shoe a major concern? (Being a lightweight running shoe they weigh about a third of other walking shoes, but the durability will also be similar) Hope that helps! :)

    I tried these this last week. I normally wear a 9 and went with that, but they felt a bit too snug for me. I then ran in a 9.5, but had to do the runner’s loop to lock down my heal, and they were just not that comfortable on my feet. Nice and light shoes and a lot of people are going to dig these, but not a match for me. So I bought yet another pair of Mach 5s on discount. Love my Machs.

    @@paceathletic_auI took the 9 out twice for a total of about 9 miles at about oh, 7:30 pace. Toes were a bit squished. I had about a half a thumb, so many would like that, but I like a bit more room. I only tried the 9.5 on and jogged a bit on a tread when I exchanged the 9s. They seemed just a tad wide and just wasn’t a good fit for me. But dang, they are sharp looking.

    I am very upset with Hoka. They had one of the absolute best shoes ever with the Hoka mach five, with a huge fan base. I bought a couple off u guys recently. The Mach 6 has just came out and they did a switch up on all of us loyal mach fans. The shoe is now another but Clifton with a different foam. And unfortunately, would you believe they have added a whopping eight millimeters to the stack. The shoe has nothing to do with the original mach series as is only 2mm difference from the Clifton's, give or take. What on earth? Hoka now have nothing for those of us who like a bit of a lower stack and a bit of flexibility without plates, etc. These Rebel v4 sneakers seem to be a very good replacement, particularly with the stack height and drop, with only 1mm difference in the drop. How would you compare these rebel v 4 to the Hoka mach five? Hoka have lost my business now and im thinking of getting these...... Also, im most likely gonna come to the store in person (not sure if it will be Manly or Bondi), but since its my 1st time in NB, i wanna see what they feel like on my feet (in store of course) before buying them and ensure i get sizing right..... i want the other colourway but, White / Bleached Lime Glo / Hot Mango. Thanks.

  • @paceathletic_au
    @paceathletic_au4 ай бұрын

    Our friends in the physio/podiatry world would almost ALL say to go the way of the endorphin speed, purely because a carbon plated shoe can be harsh for all your running (higher risk of injury) . We would say if you are running for enjoyment, go the speed 4. If you push yourself on each run (wanting to run faster) , go the pro 4

    Hello team thanks for the information on the asics gel nimbus 26 product. So my concern is I bought Nike shoe for 4k and after one year shoe cushion had gone and it is not giving any comfort now. So now I am planning to buy this asics gel nimbus 25 or 26 so can you tell me for how many years the cushion gel will be available in the shoe because as the cost of the product is very high so I am expecting the comfort and cushion and gel present in the product has to be sustained at least for 1835 working days. So can you provide an answer for my query by testing or by checking the same question to the company

    Hey there, thanks for the comment - that is a very precise durability expectation! If you are using the shoe for running, we would say that you would expect to get around 600-700k from a pair of these. If you are using them for daily wear, we normally say that they will last 6 months if you are wearing them daily. Please note that these are very basic guesses, and the real durability expectations rely on very personal and differentiating factors such as (but not limited to): weight, strike pattern, running form, lower limb function, and gait. Thanks!
