    I cloth diapered all 3 of my children ( the first 2 twelve months apart and the second and third 20 months apart) and so glad I went that route as we learned that our son (#2) was severely allergic to disposable diapers of any brand and baby wipes, and it saved so much money in the long run after the initial investment in 6 dozen cloth diapers, rubber pants and diaper pins (my children are now 40, 39 and 36 1/2 years old). One of the routines we had as a couple was as I cleaned up after dinner, daddy would give baths and get the little monkeys ready for bed (their favorite song), then we would all cuddle on the couch and either read a story or watch a portion of a movie as a family, then do our Bible study and our prayers and off they went to bed with lots of kisses and hugs and no more than 2 ups for water or bathroom when they were toddlers.

    I wish I had learned all of what you’re talking about sooner when I had my 5littles. I needed to grieve my past life of singleness and doing things when I wanted to and accept the new life ahead which meant the opposite. And that even though I craved rest and relaxation, I needed to lean on God and his rest and He would restore my body and soul.

    Oh how I remember those sweet, busy days with my 3 children (first two 12 months apart and 2nd and third 20 months apart)! We got it done, it was exhausting on some days but we would not have had it any other way back then. My husband and I agreed that I would get up 2 hours before everyone else just to have “me” time (this was once my youngest slept through the night), my time was exercise, showering and getting dressed/ready for the day, time with God, starting my one load/day of laundry, any dusting or wiping down of surfaces and getting breakfast ready and getting everyone up for the day! Let me tell you, those 2 hours were not just a physical and spiritual necessity but my mental health benefitted from it! Now we are empty nesters with grandchildren. Loved this slow and sweet content!

    Hi maddie! Love watching your videos! Am in no way an expert on pests, but I do have a few suggestions For the raised beds. I would suggest sprinkling some organic fertilizer around each plant according to which type they each need, then scratch it into soil with a hand rake while at the same time loosening up the soil around the top of plants at same time, then I would place some deep mulch like wood chips or hay over the bare soil. The fertilizer will help them get stronger with the nutrients needed, and the mulch helps keep the soil moist. It may even help with the bugs. 🤷🏻‍♀️ love you all

    It's okay, honey. For hundreds of years, babies slept on their tummies. Sleeping on the back is just a new trend of the times.

  • @brainworm666

    It’s not a “trend”. There’s data to show that newborns who sleep on their tummy are more likely to experience SIDS.

  • @juliejohnson497

    Not a trend- scientifically proven decreases in SIDS deaths when babies always sleep on their backs. You are trivializing tragedies. From a grandma who speaks from experience.

    Don’t be ridiculous. It’s not a trend you lunatic, SIDS is more likely on babies that sleep on their fronts. Why increase the risk when you don’t have to?

    I think Sid's is the reason they started having babies sleep on their back. But for centuries babies have slept on their stomach. I wonder what they'll come up with in another 20 years. I about cracked up laughing when I hear couples on here doing tummy time of all things. Tummy time. My kids as babies did a lot of tummy time LOL that's how they learn to strengthen their neck muscles and even the early stages of crawling.

  • @brainworm666
    @brainworm666Ай бұрын

    Yes, it’s SIDS. And yes, babies have slept on the fronts for centuries but the logic here is that it increases the risk of death.

  • @juliejohnson497
    @juliejohnson497Ай бұрын

    The first reply was correct. The studies of thousands of crib death (SIDS) clearly show a decrease in SIDS deaths when they sleep only on their backs. My granddaughter died at 2 months from SIDS soI learned a lot about it. Please do not spread the idea of " I wonder what they'll come up with next".
