Welcome to my KZread! Here is where I will share videos of my Moto adventures on the Backroads and Old Highways that weave their way through the American West as well as Baja Mexico.
I am brand new to video sharing so I have a lot to learn! I recently picked up a couple of GoPros and I just downloaded my first video editing software Filmora... PLEASE help me improve by giving me your feedback in the comments!
I hope to bring a variety of content primarily on Southern California, Baja Mexico and parts of Arizona for now.
I will be posting videos on specific routes in these areas as well as sharing overviews of longer trips I have planned.
I am so excited to learn all I can and share my adventures with you!

Can you fit pants over them or tuck them inside?
you can pull pants over just have to work over the tabs.. i normally tuck
Great video and thank you for this.i sold a nc750x last 2years. Now im still deciding to get a new NC or try xadv. For long rides, how do u compare the comfort level?does the xadv wins due to scooter seating position?thanks
Excellent.
I started getting alot of cupping on the front tire 13-14k alot of tread left but gotta go to much vibration
nice footage! we're doing a video on the best roads in California. Could we use a few seconds of this footage and give you a credit link?
of course!!
cool thanks!@@backhighwaybrian
Wow you did some good miles on them i got about 8k+ but did rip them up little on alot of twisty in picos de europa
It would probably feel more bike like with the accessory footpegs. I lived in Japan in the early '90s. I rode a DR250 SH and an Africa Twin 750 RD04. Interesting video.
It would certainly help trying to stand! Thanks for watching!!
I had 19 k on front 16 k on rear on my last set of road 6 on my 2022 hayabusa ,could got 1500 hundred miles more on both ,the front showed light cupping, the rear tire was changed at same time so i would have fresh set at same time saving a trip to the mechanic plus waiting ,i ride very fast but don't abuse the bike at low speeds ,no wheelies no spinning the tire ever ,the bike has 205 hp 117 torque tops out at 202 miles
How is the shifting
Really it fits like a normal boot. The toe box isn’t big like other ADV type boots
Heel mooie video, velen kunnen er van leren, mooie motorgeluiden en geen vervelende achtergrondmuziek, Top!
I have it right now, it's so fun to ride. I need a bike for long road, like nt 1100... I won't be abla to şeklinde x-adv, so i'll have 2 bikes 😂
😊😊
Thank you!!
hilarious review, here in europe any rider who does more than 30mph will never get more than 5k miles out of a rear tire you yanks do dream a lot :) I am 71 years old and in the last 60 years of riding bikes I have never had a rear tire last more than 5000 miles
what do you guys use sand paper on the roads? the Tires on My Africa Twin last for 10,000....
You always get that "feedback" with decent new tires it'll wear off eventually. I do wonder what's the actual difference between the two, visually the 6 looks a bit darker color.
My bmw k1600gt is at 13400 miles on Road 6 see 16k possible and a FB 1600gt owner got 18k miles on his. They are a no brainer worth every cent
That’s awesome!!
I owned a Xadv in 2021. Great bike , made even better once I put "traditional" riders foot pegs on it. I know own a 2023 NC and I love it.
Both great bikes! Thanks for your input! Cheers!
Is Motorcycling popular in Japan…Great vid../ awesome views bud!!👍
It seems very popular! Especially near the “famous” routes. The Shiga Kogen mountain route seems to be like our tail of the dragon.. there were bikes everywhere and some went up and down multiple times. At the top there were a lot of bikes… you’d love it man!!
Thanks for the video. I am between these and the Dunlop Trail mix Mission, but my main concern is WET ROAD, I get rain every time I travel, as I do long distances, 90 road 10 Fire roads, gravel and some sand
I’m sorry I don’t have much experience with the in the rain… it don’t rain very much here in San Diego
Finally, you've got there! You are one of the luckiest riders, going through the route under such a wonderful weather on your very first visit! I'll give you a kind of saying about Kusatu! 『草津良いとこ 薬の温泉』 (kusatsu yoito kusurino ideyu; Kusatsu, worty of visitig, a great spa with its medicinal hot water)
I know! Best weather and amazing views!!! And thank you for the message in “old” Japanese! My wife had to look at it a few times!! Ride safe my brother
X-ADV is really a good bike, but NC is totally con-less for me so far. I wouldn't be able to find a substitute for NC. LOL
Love the NCs!! Great all a rounder!!
Tsumagoi Panorama Line is one of my favorites. The shoe surgery went well, it seems. Your borther is right, and you haven't seen anything. LOL The climax is around another corner!
Yes!!! Shiga-Kogen and Kusatsu was my favorite route of my trip!!
That UNKAI, sea of clouds, amazing! What a route choice to go to Shiga - Kusatsu from Karuizawa! How come your brother-in-law kows such paths?
I am not certain!! He had a map of the top 50 rides in Japan but this wasn’t on the list.. we couldn’t figure out why. It was so beautiful!! Until we came down the back side and on to the dirt road.. which was not bad
Man! That looked like you were on a mountain in the sky! Amazingly beautiful! Hope you are well Brother!
It saws a very cool ride, surprises included. Kind of made these quick so I could have something of the trip
Really nice video!! Very relaxing to watch.. very informative too.👍
thanks Brother.... was NOT expecting that dirt road!!
You gave me exactly what I needed. I’m going to the rv park and was worried about the elevation. It’s going to be a beautiful ride. Thank you!
Glad I could help!!!
Great job … love the scenery bud…. Jealous of your trip👍
Thanks man!!!!! Everyday was amazing!!!
That front tyre is shot and needs changing now.
Thanks for your input
What a nice weather! The lense cover issue! I'm good at it! LOL The giant statue is called "Daikokusama" or "Ookuninushi no Mikoto", one of the Seven Lucky Gods. How did like Soba? Did you like the scent?
Thanks for clarifying!! Yes Soba was amazing and watching the guy the noodles!!! Great day!!
Mt Fuji is known as one of the shyest mountain in Japan. LOL I wonder how the Japanese houses look like in your eyes.
I really like seeing the old wooden houses that are still left!!! Also I just love all the small villages in the interior!!
Typical Japanese moutain paths! Some of them are narrower than a one-way road in the urban areas. Good for you to get a glimpse of Mt Fuji!
Yes especially out of Izu I noticed this! Also I love all the cool street signs. Like the sign warning of old people in the area!
The other day, I rode through Izu Skyline for the first time myself, and I eally liked it. Sorry for the rain you went through. You look great in that YUKATA!
No worries! It just added to the adventure! Pulling into the rest area with water pouring out of our clothing..lol
Riding in the suburbs of Tokyo in that weather... might be like a hell, I'm afraid. I'm sorry for the humidity in Japan. lol
its ok once we got out of the city it cooled off!
What a pity...I didn't know that. Anyway, you've recovered and enjoyed your stay in Japan, which is really great!
all good..
Nice video. Ride safe.✌🏻
Thank you so much!!
The inn looks awesome!
It really was and the food was just amazing!!!
Looking forward to your videos in Japan. Interesting road markings. That's a 750??? wow. Hope you do a review on the ADVX as well. Safe travels.
I did do a brief review and the end of the trip!
And yes X ADV 750 by Honda same motor as the NC750 and also uses the Dual Clutch Transmission DCT.. I had a positive experience!
@@backhighwaybrian Nice! I would have hesitated, but looks aren't everything...LOL
@@backroadjourneys7674 i really wanted to try this bike after the NC750 wasnt available the entire time. I thought about an Africa Twin like I have now but the X-ADV was cheaper and since its not available in the US, I thought It might be cool to try it out
Wow.. in Japan! Awesome. don't forget to ride on the other side of the road...😅
Yea don’t want to forget that!!!
Heres to continued recovery! I have been enjoying your IG shares, looks like an amazing place to ride!
Thanks brother!!
Crap, dude. Sorry to hear about that. Screw the videos for now, just take your time to get well and hopefully in time to ride a bit more before you have to return the bikes.
Gracias!
Hope you're feeling better bud!! God bless you
Working on it brother
Testing positive means nothing. Hope you didn't take the clot shot.
Just laying low
Looking forward to the videos. Feel better!
Thank you!
Dangerous grip
I also have a puncture on my rear road 6. Curious as to why it was not repairable?
How are these holding up? I was knocked off my bike by a third party and need to get a new pair of boots; I am looking at these & the fuel dust devils atm :)
Holding up great. I am actually really enjoying them!! Very comfortable and walking is a breeze! I would buy again!!
Nail magnets😅
LoL I actually did pick up a mail in the rear eventually
I have the pilot 4 on my cb500x. I have on it 35.235km and still they look like "new". No cuts, Very hard but still very reliable. Perfect grip, and now they start just loosing a bit grip, when you full throttle they start to spin a bit. Still i could try them for more, but i am about to change to these monsters!
Nice!!!!!
Good to hear. I had Pilot Road 4s on a couple of bike (R nineT Scrambler and R1200RS) and loved them moved to the Road 5s when I couldn't get the rear on those bikes and was not all that impressed with the durability - less than 4,000 miles and down to the wear bars on the rear. Just replaced the Road 5s on the R nineT with some Road 6s and only have about 550 miles on them. So far handling has been ok and my initial impression is that they have a bit more grip in the corners.
Props to you for getting out even when you weren’t feeling your best. That opening scene sucks and brings back a lot of unpleasant memories of multiple falls and a broken ankle in Baja. Yep, not a big fan of deep sand. Love that view coming into BDLA along Mex 12. And good on you for helping out the family in need.
trying...lol
