I've looked at that one because it's more affordable. But I'm in Canada and it's cold up here. I would wonder if it would be cold to handle in the winter.... Good overview. 👍

Thank you, I appreciate it! And yeah, I can imagine the steel handle would get pretty cold. You could wrap it with paracord, but it would probably be a little bulky. I’ve seen people do it though! Heck, I’ve read about guys spraying the handle with truck bed liner. Grip tape, too. Something to think about, anyway!

They're all nice nice but obviously the cold steel srk which is been selling for like 20 years is the bargain of the bunch but while I do own a condor bushlore for people who are on a budget or don't want to spend too much, BPS nice out of the Ukraine makes their own version of the bushlore and it's available in stainless or carbon steel.

Technically the MSRP is just over $200, but you can buy it cheaper than that. Amazon has the best price that I’ve seen so far…depending on what handle scales you get, it ranges anywhere from $140 to about $190. This one is the Santos scales, roughly $148!

Had a Cold Steel knife break while i was sitting at a table and tossing it up about a foot and it sticking into the wooden tabletop. Call it abuse if you want. It was a clean brittle snap about ⅜" from the point. I've done the same with almost every knife ive had. It's habitual tic now. That cold steel is the only one that broke like that. Not sure if its marketed as the same model, but it was definitely the same size and a similar pattern. I doubt the steel is higher quality or better heat treated as it also was $40 in 1999. I'm sure overall they make a decent product but I've never owned another one.
