To reduce the weed in Paddy / Groundnut/ maize plantation, you must ploughing the land as follows: 1. After rain, you must give time to grow weeds upto 20 days. After 20 days, ploughing the field by Disc Harrow as Este West one time and South and North another time. After 8 days, plough same field two times by using Cultivator. After another 8 days, plough the same field two times by using Rotovator. Very next day, you may sowing Paddy, Groundnut or Mize. This is the way to reduce weeds in the crops. Try it, if can.

Did you understand a word he said? The entire point of no-till is to disturb the soil life and structure as little as possible. The best way to control weeds is proper mulching and cover crops. Nature tends to cover naked soil with leaves,. The soil is full of seeds that are dormant and waiting for the right conditions to germinate. They don't come up as much if they have no space to grow or are too far from the surface.

I do not believe that burning down stubble is a bad thing, if done right. Char will stay in the ground far longer than rotted stubble. It's a natural process for grasses that created the rich black soils of Rumania and the American Midwest. The ash increases soil pH, reducing the need to truck in lime. It kills weeds and pests, reducing the need for poisons. Ideally, it would be done when moisture levels were so that the fire would creep across the field burning leaves to ash and charring stems.

Question: there are clear benefits to leaving the stubble to capture carbon and minimize erosion, but what about the risk of fire in a hot climate?
