I am just getting started. How do you smooth your edges? Looks like it's better to do after coloring? Thanks!
Do you think Mapp gas or a crème Brule torch will work? pretty cook to watch!
❤👏👏👏💪👍
Nice job, what kind of clear coat to keep from oxidizing ,and will coat take away from blues and purple showing through? thank you
Yes, you lose the purples. I use Protectaclear and have used Krylon sprays too.
@@fionathompson408 Thank you.
Maybe calling it lame painting would be more suitable ? What do you think ?
Are you able to show us the difference flames to get the difference coloring please? Thanks ❤🎉❤😊
Well it’s not about flame size as about the transfer of heat. The smaller the flame, the slower the heat builds up, the more you can control the copper changing color. And lots of practice😉

does the technique work on bronze
I honestly don’t know. Give it a try and let me know.
Beautiful. Where do you get your copper pieces?
Thank you. Basiccopper.com
Thank you! This was really strait to the point!
lovely work could you tell me the model hand set up\ torch you use please,
It's from Victor, type W-J. I believe it was a J-40 torch handle, but it was a few years ago and model numbers change. Thank you.
Just fabulous and mesmerizing to watch! Thank you!
Fiona, your skills are amazing. Do use any coating after the patina?
Yes, I use various sprays, but my favorite is Protectaclear by Everbrite. Sometimes I dip, sometimes I spray. You have to spray to prevent the colors from fading over time and protect the surface from scratches. Hope that helps.

Thank you!
You're welcome!
