    Ok so as far size i can compare them to afew species. Brazilian rainbow boa, emerald basin tree boa, pearl island boas,hog island boas and nicaragian boas which all them species mostly reach 6,7 feet . And if where using prey items has to be as thick as snake indigos are more than capable of eating XL or jumbo rats just as well as the other snakes mention . Cus if u feed multiple prey lets say to 7,8 ft indigo thats easy bout 3 small rats on the largest end or 2 large mediums not even 1 jumbo will suit a 7,8 ft indigo i dont think and Jumbo's are same size as guinea pigs so yes indigos eat fully grown adults and baby to young rabbits, chinchillas or seem good food source correct uf right idk . But i had California kings too before which get 6 ft but slim but even they eat medium rat so i never had indigo but they much larger so i know for fact it will manage a jumbo rat from without any harm snake be pefect good to go 14 days . Plus to alot people multiple is frustrating headache too much work plus way more expensive.

    Bout how much can these snakes weight if you were to have a big girl get 10 ft plus coastal carpets cus I hear them ones getting largest . How will you say they stack up vs dumerils boas and blood pythons ? I often see vids of carpets eating really big prey adult chicken's, turkeys,ducks, goose,possums, raccoons,skunks, and from what I see they eat anything lizards, birds don't matter maybe even can try fish even doe cus never did see it but I'm sure captivity they will if giving .

    Why specify it being males that get up to 10’ it is too the best of my knowledge that yellow tails are not sexually dimorphic with males and females reaching similar sizes.

  • @JzsReptiles
    @JzsReptiles22 күн бұрын

    The longest verified specimens are males and what 3 breeders have told me males tend to be longer and sometimes heftier. Certainly not as dimorphic as many python and boa species for sure

    He will love that! My bredli literally shed perfectly in 20% humidity and then get in their humid hides after they shed. Their natural habitat is harsh and semi-arid. These tents are meant to cover plants outside and still let sunlight through so you can hang lights above it. Mine have never escaped.

    Interesting set up for a Bredli. He will have plenty of room to groove. I personally love cat trees and bed trays for snakes! I’m wondering if you could include a small cat tree in there? One major drawback with a mesh set up is losing wall space, but I’m looking forward to an update on this to see what else you added or took away! 👍🏼

  • @JzsReptiles
    @JzsReptiles27 күн бұрын

    Probably could. The only thing I don’t like about cat trees is I hate to clean carpet when they go on it and it would be cheaper just to build a stand if I were to strip it off. A big reason why I decided to imitate this approach was A. A much more knowledgeable Bredli keeper in similar conditions has kept them at least for awhile this way and B. Neither of mine do much cruising in the 4 foot setups they had/have so I thought additional platforms and perches would likely be better suited for them, but we’ll see

James: 🤨 OR if it weren't for the fact that your hemiclitores weren't spacious to begin with LILLY! Lilly: da 🤬🤬🤬?! (CRUNCH!) yeah James! How bout that one?! If your snake head was fractionally as big as your snake head, YOU wouldn't have this problem!
