This jam came in at number 4 in 1967. Biggie Bear was on his way to becoming the top soul singer of his era. He was the private chef and backup chauffeur for James Brown. In 1965, James got sick and they needed someone who resembled him to fill in for one of his shows, and that is how Bear was discovered. Brown was so angry of Bear's popularity, he ordered a hit on Bear to make certain he stayed on top. Bear eventually left the music scene and changed his identity to avoid being killed. Bear died of natural causes in 1984 while visiting Niagara Falls. He will always be remembered.
