Lawn Time With Bermuda Brian
Lawn Time With Bermuda Brian
I'm not selling anything! I'm just an average, everyday guy that likes to work in his lawn. I'll cover topics from landscaping to hardscaping to lawncare. These topics will be about lawn fertilizing, fungus and pest treatments, to aeration, dethatching and verticutting, and lawn leveling projects.

I did my HOC reset on Wednesday. How did the CT do on the mini scalp? My CT with a Honda 120 struggles so I have to do half passes to get through the thick turf.
Mannnnn. Thing cut like a champ. I did 2 passes with my McLane and then took it down w the CT. Drove like a Cadillac through it. I was impressed
Hey BB man.. be careful in that HEAT!! ..you got it looking Clean man ✌🏾
🎉🎉🎉🎉 looks Amazing 👏
Thank you
Nice video. For true lawn enthusiasts it’s not hard to figure out the two unnamed ferts. Especially the 16-4-8. lol. The 27 may take some work but still easy to find. But love your yard. !!!
👊👊 thanks for the shoutout man! Killin it! Been a pleasure to watch!
Happy 4th!! Enjoy the day w your fam
What sand are you using from the big box store for the putting green?
Regular ol play sand
What is the name of the irrigation system you got from the big box store?
I bought brass head impact sprinklers and also in ground irrigation heads that can mount to sprinkler heads. Melnor is the irrigation timer I bought.
👏👏 🔥 🔥
👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
Looks great Brian! You deserve the Lombardi trophy.
Thanks! Greatly appreciated!
Looks great Brian. Happy 4th
Happy 4th! Thx!!
I heard you say that you use RGS. How often do you put it down, and do you use Green County Fertilizer products?
Again, I don't advertise products BUT..... I do use their RGS and my lawn always gets good results. I put a heavy dose down in September and I have the greenest lawn for the longest in my neighborhood. I start season w 9 oz per 1k and then I go w 4 oz /1k once a month. I may go and hit hot spots up in between. It's been a good product for *my* lawn
Mannnn your lawn looks awesome!! Thank you for sharing your tips. Salud brother!🍻
🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day BB 🎉
Back at you!!!
Hard work pays off 👊🏽😎💯.. AWESOME brother 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Thats how you do it ✌🏾
Thanks D! I'm pretty damn proud this year! YOU keep up the GREAT work!
If this is your last year with this lawn Brian you are going out with a bang. 🧨💥Looks amazing. Happy 4th
Thanks Keith!!! You have a GREAT lawn!!!
Congrats Brian, looks great.
Thank you!!
Brian how are you connecting your water hose to your water meter??
I had a separate meter put in just for irrigation. So, I put a tap right at the meter. My water /sewage rates here were astronomical. The second meter cut my bill more than half and my bill to water the lawn is wayyyyy lower
A good slow soaker
why does bermuda tend to get a little brown after a heavy rain?
Could be the rain pushing grown and the next cut leaves it woody or rain could bring a fungus in....
Absolutely
I wish we had that lol
BB you're doing a DAM good job keeping that lawn looking awesome ✌🏾💯
Brian- what kind of Bermuda you got? Also, for the putting green did you go straight Bermuda? What’s the HOC for the green?
It was here when we bought the house.... I'm guessing 419. The putting green is the same variety. Setting #1 on 20" McLane ....not a greens model.
@@BermudaBrian thanks for the reply. Looks great, man. Keep up the great work!
Zoysia is like a Ford truck. Not the cheapest, but with proper maintenance nothing compares.
Flooding to drought, that GA for ya.
Exxxxactly
Wonderful content
Where do you get zeon seed?
You can't. It's sod only. You can buy a form of zoysia seed but it is like buy Bermuda seed at a big box store ... It will be a common variety like common Bermuda
@BermudaBrian Thanks so much. I just bought some zenith zoisia from the same folks I got my bermuda from. The bermuda is incredible. So, hopefully, this will be too. Thanks again for the quick reply!
What type of soap do you use or would baby shampoo work? Good looking lawn.. ❤
*non-antibacterial* dish soap
You have a amazing lawn BB keep up the good work ✌🏾🔥
Nice looking lawn! Wondering when are you going to make it Modelo time ? 😂🍻salud !
Lolol . I popped a couple of those a few weeks ago!
Can you plant Bermuda in the fall like fescue? Also was wondering what the best type of Bermuda seed is best for this GA heat? Thanks for all the videos Brian.
No... Being a warm season grass... You want to seed Bermuda right now....June. There are a lot of Bermuda seed varieties. It just depends on what you are looking for in terms of blade thickness, darkness, and height. There are dwarf varieties that golf courses use. Common Bermuda seed is what's sold at big box stores. Bermuda seed is A LOT smaller than fescue seed. So, when/if you get a bag and you wonder why it's so small, so set the seed spreader on a low setting bc of the seed size. A small bag goes a long ways.
I hate when I sling the clumps on the side of my truck lol. Hose action works well !
Hi great video wondering how often to apply ? Thanks
Wow looks so good. We just installed Zeon in our shady backyard today after watching your other video while ago.
Awesome! Keep up w me and let me know how it does
Beautiful lawn, Brian! That's always scary taking your mower to someone else's yard! I'm always scared I'll pick up a Bahia seed or two.
Brian, this video my friend explains why you have 1 of the best Bermuda lawns in the tubes. That's coming from a cool season lawn guy. I noticed that the channels that don't promote have the best looking lawns. Strange but so true. 👍🏻💯
Thanks man. Greatly appreciated!
Lawn looks great
Thanks!!
Brian, enjoy your channel. I'm in Winder GA. Keep up the good work!!
Thank you!
what type of bermuda is that? i just installed tiftuf in my backyard, trying to figure out when to scalp it as it is growing in now..
It was here when we moved in (albeit in very bad shape). It's definitely a hybrid and not common.
Great Advice Brian ❤
Thx BYD!
Don’t let your wife find your side piece!
Lololololol YES!!! Lololol
Wow 98, I'm in NE GA and we're getting to 93 with 51% humidity where I'm at. I've got a little over 10k of bermuda that I keep at 0.5". Something that I've had success with that you might try is Tournament Ready pellets, they seem to help when it gets pretty hot and we go through dry periods. It's not dramatic or anything, but I've had good results. Off topic, but your vehicle fleet is amazing. A Sequoia, 4runner, and of course that 1st gen Taco, you'll never have to buy another vehicle lol. I've got a 3rd gen Taco and I'll never let it go, I wish I could add a Sequoia like that to my fleet, but most likely we'll be getting a minivan since those Sequoias are so hard to come by these days.
Mannnnn I LOVE my Tacoma. I joke and tell them that they will bury me in it. Taught 2 girls to drive in that truck. More off road drives w kids than I can count..... Great memories
Great info BB..👍🏾
D, enjoyed you last 2 videos! Good stuff!
@@BermudaBrian Thanks BB I appreciate you watching ✌🏾😎
Man I'm Atlanta trying to maintain a Bermuda lawn and I'm not getting none of that rain you mentioned. I applied some baby shampoo and hydration but I need some rain bad.
It's tough if you are getting drought conditions. Water deep. Hopefully that will push roots deeper. Another thing to try is Peat Moss. Put it out. It helps to retain moisture in your lawn. Several videos on KZread about Peat Moss
Yes sir. I do the same. 👍🏻
That front yard is looking absolutely mint.
