Russia is shithole. All goes to hell when she said she moved there in FEB 2022 few days before "special operation starts".....

Coming from Finland I understand the statement of dirty and broken. For example Saint P city center has lot of beautiful houses but they look like slowly falling apart and no one fixing the facade. Also moving further away from any city center the buildings and houses get more poor and broken, no one cutting the grass and taking care of how things are in general. But over all I really enjoy Russian atmoshpere, I feel its more relaxed and I love the people and the culture. I'm looking forward to travel there again this year.

In the beginning of the video she says ”Few days before…aaah…ooh.. special operation.” This tells alot. It is a full scale war and she knows it, but say that aloud in russia and you be in jail. For sure in Moscow it is safe as long as you live, think and say what kreml wants.

Poor budski, when there is a "full scale war" you in the west will be drafted. And you will be, a US commander of all NATO armies in EU, Gen. Cavoli just said: "Russia will pose a long term threat to the alliance, we will have a big Russia problem, it will be a large, large force.

Moscow and to a lesser extent Saint Petersburg has been insulated from the war. It will be the last of Russia to collapse but the country is doomed. It is isolated in a way that it cannot sustain an industrial society. China is even worse.

I was surprised that she responded saying Russians are less open at first, maybe due to having been in the US last at 17 years old. I can't think of a time when in Russia this time for 24 years, where people were not friendlier and more sincere than in the US, where people are divided into a thousand factions and everyone hates the other 999 factions, and if your express a view others disagree with you are not only wrong but the enemy. Here in Russia the most response would get if they believed in something different might be "oh, I never thought of it that way" ...no argument or hostility or anger, everyone gets along regardless of religion, politics, social group, race, income, so everyone is treated warmly and with respect. If she travels to any other area or express a different view when in the US she will find why people are so careful to avoid strangers. As a man, being screamed at for holding a door open for holding a door open for an unknown woman teaches him quickly to be more reserved to prevent triggering a hostile reaction, particularly once they understand that statistically every 3rd person is carrying a loaded handgun. It was not like that 30 years ago but is now. Russia is much more friendly and social, and MUCH safer. Generally Russians are much more cultured and broadly educated so an engineer will also know history or opera. In the US education is focused on a career specialty so an accountant is not usually aware of cultures or history. The result is that a lot of people make bad decisions based on feelings instead of knowledge so politicians can make harmful decisions and the people will support or oppose it based on simply which party they are aligned with and media/government always lies and the people do not know it. For example it is normal for politicians to lie and media to push dishonest views knowing not one knows. The government is much more honest here in Russia and the result is constantly improving quality of life since 2000. In the US quality of life only declines in time but they redefine quality of life so only mean gross income which has almost no connection to quality of life.

The American is comparing not Russia, but Moscow. Moscow is not all of Russia. Once again they are going over the standard propaganda tactics. Russia is clean, safe, people are good and traditional. There are homeless people in the USA, it's not safe and other crap. Constantly tries to give out a take, and immediately tries to argue with possible objections. Example. She talks about traditional values and family, and then says that there are a lot of divorces everywhere. This is about the fact that in Russia there is a gigantic divorce rate, which does not fit with traditional values. When they started talking about money, they suddenly jumped to the metro map. The maximum you can expect for salary in Russia as a teacher is 1000-1500 dollars. Typical teacher pay is about $400. Working with foreign clients will be very difficult. The Russian banking system is cut off from the world. Also, real religious girls don’t go on dates before marriage. And she doesn't have a husband. About God it’s pure empty talk.
