Incredible! a bunch of Aliens trying to discredit Stanley! The guitar strings are easily not stretched properly! Stanley Jordan plays better with one hand as any of you could with both.

I saw this guy when he was young, live in London. One of the most astonishing things I've ever seen. Sadly, I think he has lost the amazing ability he had back then. Much of this is out of tune and quite laboured by his standards. Such a shame.

I've never understood why he's not in the conversation more. He's been doing what newer artists are getting credit for. FOR DECADES! Seeing him at the end of the month. Can't wait!

I just found this guy after looking up videos of the Newport folk festival. The Newport jazz festival popped up. Totally ahead of his time. Reminds me of newer artists like Andy Mckee, Ichika Nito, Tim Henson, Marcin etc.

He hasn't evolved at all musically meaning that he plays pretty much the same exact stuff he played when he came out almost 40 years ago. Plus very few original compositions. Also when he first got his big chance in the late 80s - early 90s, he didn't really take advantage of it commercially. No collaborations, no records with songs and apparently very little management. He just kept doing his thing quietly and eventually he got forgotten.

Larry can play any guitar he wants but he chooses to play a $700 line of guitars that he endorses called “Sire.” I’m sure he still plays his beloved Gibsons but sure makes this guitar sound like his tone.

Larry endorses the Asian line of guitars, Sire, that he is playing. It’s a less than $1000 guitar and sounds amazing. Never seen a pro actually playing the inexpensive line of guitars that they sponsor. It’s all in his fingers.

Larry's solo is a classic, but it's a little sad that audiences make him play it note for note, over and over. It reduces him to a 60-something guitar player in a cover band who memorized his solo.

He’s playing one of his Sire Larry Carlton model 335 knockoffs. Sounds amazing and they are inexpensive. Very few artists play their Asian made endorsed products. He’s one of the greatest and believes and uses what he endorses.
