  There are some performances you cannot emulate. This was never a “clean” song anyway, with the shouting part, but how he works the string break into the whole thing as if it’s nothing and then just retunes for the outro is just great. I loved the song anyway looong before I saw this (from the movie)

  This was the first song I've ever heard by GAI and it was this version.. all these years later I saw him live in ohio 3 days ago and when he played this it was just him and steve on stage and all I could think was it's the Cardinal Sessions..🥹 what a moment.. "ring out those ghosts on the ohio"
