Singer-saxophonist-songwriter-composer Grace Kelly has made a lasting impact on jazz with her sold-out concerts, 15 albums, and performances at iconic venues like the Hollywood Bowl and "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert." In 2022, she became Berklee College of Music's youngest Trustee.
With over 1,000 shows globally, including at the Kennedy Center and festivals like Montreal and Montreux, Grace has mesmerized audiences. Collaborating with luminaries like Lin Manuel-Miranda, Jon Batiste, and Wynton Marsalis, her saxophone prowess and vocals shine.
As a songwriter, Grace's accolades include the 2018 John Lennon Songwriting Contest’s “Song of the Year” for “Feels Like Home.” She's also been honored with multiple ASCAP Composer Awards and Downbeat Magazine's "Rising Star Alto Saxophone" title nine times. Grace's latest endeavor, “At The Movies: Grace Kelly with Strings,” released in early 2024, explores jazz fusion with cinematic soundtracks.

Great story! Reminds me of one told to me by the guitarist John Wilkins. “Mamma Mia” was opening in Boston and John got a call asking him to play ukulele. He said “I don’t play ukulele but I have one…” and they said to come anyway. He got there, tuned his uke, they handed out the charts, did a sound check, and let the audience file in. The curtain went up and I bet nobody in the audience had any idea that the entire orchestra was sight reading. That’s what I call professional musicians, just like Grace.
Proud to know you are from Swellesley like me (though I was way before you…) I love Dublin. To me it feels a lot like Boston, like home.

Hi, I just finished a couple of sessions with a brass trio. A lot of issues came up when I wrote growl articulations. Trumpet player could do it while sax player hesitated claiming the music was written in guitar keys.. So my question is: Do I really have to write my music in Ab, Eb etc to get these guys to play my shit or they where just a buch of wimps ?
