    I just installed one of these on Saturday and did nothing of the sort for that top bolt on the passenger side. I didn’t even use the hex bolts they provided! The instructions aren’t great. I used one of the brass colored bolts on the top for the passenger side, the shorter 30mm one. They include longer for bottom separate in the bracket kit. They do cover the passenger side in the instructions but say use the longer (but don’t) Good luck at the track

    They sell a socket for that and they usually work good. It has 5 sides and one side is open for the wire. Make sure you put a tiny bit of copper antisieze on the new one.

    Can you elaborate the format of this event? Is there a limit of runs per driver? Or is the course just open for the day and go as you please?

  • @CornerAfterCorner
    @CornerAfterCorner2 ай бұрын

    Sure thing! The event is held from 8 to in this case 2:00 that seems to be different for every event depending on other activities going on at the track for the day but you get to run as many times as you want. You just go on the course for a few laps if you seem like you know what you're doing they seem to keep you out for longer but if you look like you're being dangerous than they'll take you off sooner. When they point you off the track you can just get back in line. Events have been limited to 60 or so people so people get more seat time

    So I've got to rant about the convo at the start. The 99% of the town is completely behind the track operating on Sunday. It's a collective of about 8 out of state New Yorkers that live here during the summer that call themselves the "Lime Rock Citizens Council". They successfully blocked the track from adding unmuffled Sundays back in 2015 which ended up causing Skip Barber to sell the track. It's not all bad though, they shot themselves in the foot because Skip always agreed to never bring drifting to the track since he knew the council would just complain about the noise/tire smoke. Well the new owners have less of an ear to loan to this group and brought GridLife drifting in to make more money for the track. The council group actually attempted to launch an EPA investigation because they state that drifting is "tire burning" and not listed as approved usage for the race track. Last I knew, there wasn't any follow-up on the EPA complaint so I don't think they have a leg to stand on and the track is safe in it's current state for the time being. They are actually allowed to host events on Sunday after 1pm but the council group really prevents anything coming in. Without 1 or 2 Sundays opened up, I don't think we'll ever see IMSA back.
