We were making boards like this back in the late 60's. They worked GREAT then and still do! Most guys back then didn't know how to approach them. But for those of us that understood them they were toooooo much fun!!

Just spoke to a shaper about one. I recommended 5'4" for myself (145/5'10"), but I'm curious how low you can go. What's a 5'0" like, a 5'2", 5'3"?

They are the perfect shape to go super short. I never size guys by their height on a board like this I go by volume only. At 145 you can go sub 5' easily. Most people regret not going shorter. What did your shaper recommend?

How's this ride compared to a fish?, seems kinda of similar being short/wide none tapering rails?

honestly they are faster. I think the traditional fish has more traction in hallow waves but the high volume allows to ride extremely small short boards which adds to the fun

you size it according to your weight and disregard size to at 175 you can go as small as the 5'0" if you really wanted to... 5'2" - 5'4" is more typical
