  His best roll (and most over the top role) was in Death Wish 3. I was a kid when that came out and I'd constantly rent it at the video store. Gavan intimidated me lol. I just watched DW3 a few minutes ago and decided to look him up and I was saddened by his death. RIP Gavan - you really scared this now 52 yr old when I was a kid.

  Sounds like a decent, pleasant man. It was good to hear him speak well of Sean Connery and Charles Bronson. “Never Say Never Again” remains one of my favourite Bond films. Gavan had the honour of being beaten up, kissed, and killed by Barbara Carrera - in that order!

  Since the UK are the biggest buyers of convertibles than the whole of Europe, I find it strange that UK motoring journalists constantly take the pee out of them saying they're girly, storage for lipsticks or room enough for handbags etc, these jokes or innuendos must mean the UK is full of girly men and male hairdressers as it tends to be men who drive these type of cars, me included. So stop trying to be funny it's getting boring after so many years!

  I came across this video (in 2023) Nice to see Peter being interviewed. Please Sir including the film Please Sir of 1971 (IIRC) are my favourites. Nice to hear that he is supporting and advising actors in their careers. Seem to recall his office is in Brighton.

  Brought up watching please sir on itv on Fridays evenings I remember followed by fenn Street Gang in 73 Duffy my favourite love to see Peter mors things after more comedy in the 70s think he could have pulled off Del boy that sort of thing .

  Gavan O'Herlihy, another great character actor gone! I'm just now reading of his passing from over a year ago. He has played in so many films and shows. He will be missed.

  I met him once, I was ten years old and my dad was advising his wife on a script she was writing. They made us feel really welcome, a really nice guy, very down to earth. Told me loads of great stories about the movies he'd worked on, very sad to hear of his passing.

  RIP Galvan. A wonderful actor, who played a Wonderful Bad guys. His late father was a excellent actor as well. I hope they are together in Heaven. Peace 🕊️.
