Brilliant cover.....i used to watch your videos years ago and lost the links and tonight finally found them again love it...was telling my mates you were also a superb guitarist. My days of playing guitar are over after 50 years i have peripheral neuropathy really bad in my hands so not only seizing up but have taser shocks in them 24/7 wouldn't wish it on anyone apart from my enemies and and most politicians so i had a auction in January and sold all my guitar collection but kept my 58 Gretsch and 71 Les Paul and sold the rest and bought a big pickup truck with the proceeds....sad time but there isn't a cure for my condition. I am spending my time doing wildlife photography which is a bit quieter than our gigs but keeps me out of trouble hope your well and still playing?

thx. I am doing okay. I still tinker around a few minutes a day. I don't play a lot though. What model Gretsch do you have? I was looking at some white falcon Gretsches online and there was some other sparkly one and they sounded great on clean tones. Sorry bout your nerves. I had some kind of nerve damage and didn't play from 2000 to 2010. Still bothers me some.

@@TruthSurge Mine's a 58 6120 Chet Atkins, used to have one of the Brian Setzer Gretsch in lime green metal flake custom.....i was tempted recently to invest in a white falcon but resisted as it would only end up stuck in is case or collecting dust but they are gorgeous guitars. My main problem is left hand fingers are seizing up so cannot hold a pen or cup now and it drives me mad. Cheers and take care.

Sometimes I jus watch your guitar stuff for fun at night when I’m bored and I tgink it’s super cool that you can play so well ,, you probably won’t even see this but like . Yea it’s rlly cool and impressive :) Funny how liking a bendy character can lead you to watching guitar videos at 2am lol

Awesome! Your wrote you were playing in stereo, it sounds like you are playing through a Tom Scholz Rockman amp like the X-100. I have a few Rockman's, an X-100, the rack mount Sustainor & Chorus Delay, and a Bass Rockman. I met Tom Scholz in 1987 and showed him the face plate off my Sustainor, he loved it! I can play parts of some Boston songs, now you've inspired me to learn how to play the lead parts of this song that I've never tried to learn, using my Rockman X-100 for that perfect classic Boston guitar sound. Thank you much for this, your playing is beautiful.

thanks! No, not a Rockman. It's Guitar RIg 4 or 5. 4 I think. I just roll my own sounds for all my guitar covers. So... I just create something in the ballpark using the amps and stuff in guitar rig or sometimes Peavey Revalver.

@@vintagetrk ah, I see now. Yes, well, I am detuned 3 frets so I am playing the song still in the key of F# but my positions are all in the key of A. So, when I play an A power chord, it SOUNDS like F# (which is 3 frets below A). So, that is what is happening. When you said "out of key", that is what people usually say when they mean "out of tune". Like... people who can't sing in tune, etc. So yes, I am playing it in A on the fretboard but the notes are all in the key of F# minor. thanks!!!

What’s with the guitars doing little solo licks at the end of the song when your playing the rhythm Outro thought it was just you playing along with the drums and bass and singing ?

There are TWO guitar tracks. I played one non-live then I played the other live. So you are hearing both tracks (left and right). That's why you might see me play something once or twice that doesn't match what the other guitar did. But for the most part, I do the same licks except at the very end and also one bend I missed somewhere in the early middle. thx
