    Thank you so much for this vid! Very much appreciated. My 09 Outback license plate light wiring went bad so i still be doing exactly what you showed. Do you know what wire size the 09 Outback uses in these two harnesses ?

    I made the mistake of removing the pulley. Didn't know it was under spring pressure. Now the shaft E-ring groove is too shallow. How do I pull the shaft up, to engage the E ring? Any help is appreciated. Obviously no one else has ever done this, cause I can't find a video how to install. Thanks for any advice.

    I had to remove my fuse to the keyless entry system as I didn't have a programmed fob and the alarm was in activate mode. Learned from your video that I have to unlock all doors including the hatch so that the alarm wouldn't go off and then I was able to program it. Thanks a bunch for the great video.

    Good video. Was hoping for an easy fix, but apparently not. Maybe some-one will invent a pilot for the top of the drum.

    Thank you! We had someone install a new sink maybe a couple years ago and this was the second time one of these had to be replaced. I decided to just do it myself instead of paying him to replace it yet again. Your video was very helpful!

    What do you recommend if the spout comes off, but the copper collar is stuck to the cast iron (galvanized) pipe? There's some rust on the pipe. That was the case with mine. I put WD-40 on it, but it's still frozen. I don't want to turn it too hard because the pipe might snap off altogether. I was thinking of using a hand-held propane torch to apply some heat to it, but not sure if it's a good idea or not.

  • @TheDIYGuyDOTnet

    I have found a product called Deep Creep by seafoam works really well on stuck stuff/ bolts you may want to try that. Applying some heat will also help. Good luck with getting it off.

    Thank You for posting! I thought I was in for a mess! The stopper handle had actually snapped off and there is no access panel behind the tub.I thought I was looking and replacing the entire pipe assembly. Thankfully, this is a Delta Faucet setup so after watching this video I’m hoping I can find the exact replacement assembly (as shown in your video) at my local hardware store. 👍👍👍👍

    Hmm. What about if it’s not near a stud? Great video tho.

  • @TheDIYGuyDOTnet
    @TheDIYGuyDOTnet15 күн бұрын

    If there is no stud there sometimes you can get some screws into the backer board or sheetrock just behind the tile and then get enough material / glue back there to get it to hold. Sometimes you can use some spray foam and build it up and give it something to attach to.

    Lord people, all use aksin where to buy it. Amazon sells ‘em for $20. I have one installed for 10 years, two cats, still swinging nicely. I did eventually put four screws & nuts in the 4 corners, to insure it stays together for even a longer time period. Glue/caulk, just wont hold up over time. Even has a nice algae patina on the outside of it from rain beating against it. The one positive about this video is the guy does explain which groove is for fiberglass screen and which is for metal. That is why I watched it, as there are no markings on the plastic door indicating which is which.

    This was a good video but I have one suggestion. Instead of tearing out the window, I simply drilled a hole above each screw and removed the screws, then the assembly. I inserted the new assembly and using the holes drilled, replaced the screws. Then I filled the holes with wood filler. Easy.
