Just got to the part where you talk about your parents and your cousin, and also the “girly” stuff you loved that you felt you maybe weren’t “supposed” to like. Made me cry because so much of what you said resonated. Thanks for sharing all of this with us.

She’s JJ Abrams daughter 😂 she’s not a little secret anymore she wasn’t going to be a small artist for long, she was always headed for worldwide stardom. You’re lucky that you got to see her rise to fame. Especially with her being an opening act on the Eras tour, friends with and featuring Taylor Swift on ‘US’. She was destined for fame the moment she was released her debut single.🎉🙌💯

I would also like to point out that the venue and country also changes the experience. Some countries audiences are inclined to certain music and if it is a solo concert is different than a music festival. One of the biggest contrast was seeing Florence and the machine first in my home town in Mexico in what felt like an intimate (although big) theater venue. And next week seeing her headlining a festival in Belgium, which felt more underwhelming from the audience point in comparison. Had a similar experience with Mitski where her concert in neatherlands was great, but the one in Mexico city was electrifying and felt otherworldly (similar venue size). I think the key component is the people going to the shows and the passion being shown, when the room is filled with people enjoying the concert is being felt and even if the venue is small the people that goes are the ones that really want to be there.

In my opinion, small, intimate venues, are so much better than big venues. I went to A Evening with Twenty One Pilots in Columbus (I can’t believe I got tickets either) and it was amazing because of how intimate the venue was.

smaller shows are so much better ☝🏻 like dude, unless its a whole ass once in a lifetime spectacle, i just don’t see the allure of seeing a concert in an arena. you are one in a million, you don’t get anywhere close to the artist & its not a real social event where you get to dance, sing & interact with people around you. festivals are cool because you get that while still seeing huge artists (+ its multiple artists so its so worth it), but concert shows are meh compared to intimate 300ish person shows in club venues.

I'm sobbing. As someone who also went to her show in 2022 and payed little to nothing for the tickets. I was 10 meters from her and there weren't all that many people at the venue (around 200). Never heard of Gracie. Just now listened to her most listened to song on KZread Music, "I miss you, I'm sorry", and didn't recognize it. This is not a brag. I'm incredibly ignorant of today's popular music. Will I become a Gracie fan? Probably not, but I'm glad to have broadened my horizons by hearing unfamiliar music. Thanks for adding another wrinkle to my brain! I hope you have fun at the next concert!

The problem is that I live in Louisiana, so no one ever comes here unless they started their career here or they’re already big. So many of my favorite small artists are on tour right now, but they’re only going across the east or west coast.
