  I just got off the phone with Greeworks support. They are sending me a replacement and told me to keep the original for parts. I'm in Ohio. Although I think the result is fantastic, actually getting to talk to somebody was interesting. My first call I was on hold for about 20-30 minutes and then was asked to give a call back number. They called back five hours later, after I had left home and was at work. I didn't think taking the chainsaw into the office was a good idea so I was unable to go through their troubleshooting steps. The next day I called as soon as their call center opened and waited about 15 minutes until I got somebody.

  May I ask a question sir? `I have the same battery but unfortunately I have the sw900 lcd panel which of course shows the battery 100% full after 32 miles. Anyway I have noticed there is a battery indicator level on the battery itself. So 4 lights. How many lights go out before the battery needs charging?

  All the lights go out before it needs charging on the display. You can change the cutoff voltage with the programming cable.

  Nice conversion and a nice companion you have! I am planning to convert the same bike and woulld like to ask you if the motor does not hang too low due to the bend and shape of the downtube? Could you tell me how many inches of ground clearance you got?

  Bro, thanks for the video and testing! I just bought a Amz blue battery, 230 bucks, LOL supposed to be 20AH. Well, I literally just did a test and I am thinking it's more like a 10 to 15 ah. So, if a 20ah should hold 1040, shouldn't the wh used to dead be at least like 1000wh used. Meaning, if it truly is a 20ah battery, from 58.8 to 42V, should the watt meter show that I used 1000 watt hours? Another way to look at that is, how many ah hours are actually usable on a true, 20ah battery? After my ride it shows I used 9.8 ah's and I am still at 50V, for example. Much appreciated, thanks!

  Yes it should be more watt hours but there is also voltage dip under power. So when the battery shuts off at 42v it usually raises back up when it's not under load. So it's not really 42 when the bike stops it's 44 or 45v.

  Not really just use same size cable and length for positive and negative if possible

  I think more amps and less voltage means less voltage sag

  Running them in Parallel means the 2 batteries maintain the same voltage to eliminate voltage problems run the proper size cables to maintain the amps or the current you plan to use. With an ebike battery like this one 8 gauge pure copper wire would be a good choice.

  There is a code on the back a long one it’s start with g1 or g2. (G1=010/g2=020 ). Then you have the new generation controles F3=030/ F4=040

  Hate to break it to ya but the bdm-040 has the same number of springs too, so this would not be a reliable way of distinguishing between those two models.

  For those still having an issue on PC, it seems counter-intuitive but there was another comment on here that explains what you have to do. After holding left click to draw up the charge, let go of left click, and then use Q to mark the targets, then left click again and it will shoot them all.

  They aren't bad battery packs they cost 58% of what a Samsung pack costs at the same effective battery capacity. 52v 25ah Liitokala packs are effectively 18.5ah but only cost £175 and a Samsung 18.5ah pack costs about £300. The only down side is the extra weight.

  If you're going to use a bbshd id suggest battery's with BMS with 30a min to 50a preferably. Electrify Co or golden motor are good companies.

  Nice bike. I have a couple eebs, one is a 2009 Trance X3 with a BBSHD and 17.5Ah battery. Mine weighed in at 70 lbs, but I do carry around a charger and a lock.
