This is so ridiculous.
This is NOT how you apply eye ointment. Please do NOT do this. You should wash your hands thoroughly and dry them. Apply a straight line about 1cm in length on the finger tip. Pull down the lower eye lid. Apply the ointment to the lower eye lid along the top of the bottom eye lid so that when the eye closes it will get the ointment into the eye. Close the eye and tell them to look around while the eye is closed. Applying directly from the tip of the ointment tube can 1.) Can damage the eye 2.) bacteria from within the eye can be spread into the ointment tube and can spread the infection. Failure to do this correctly can result in damage to the eye and potential vision loss and/or blindness. This is not medical advice and you should always consult with a doctor before administering any medication.
This is complete rubbish! 😂
This was an outrageous demonstration. You run the risk of the child moving suddenly and getting their eye damaged by the applicator.
What is the point of washing hands if the jewellery stays on?? Dirt, bacteria and other particles remain in place. The hand washing was not ideal either - akin to pretending hand washing seen in public toilets. If you’re going to do some, do it properly. There is no benefit to wetting dirty hands
I am comming from India to join NHS as community paediatrician.. please guide me regarding the roles and responsibilities of community paediatrician and also please send me some protocols and guidelines of NHS ....Thanks

Yeah right !!!!!!!!!! Who made this crap , what kids lays like a doll
A toddler will not lay still like that.
Thank you so much for this video
Nice explanation with video thank you
Maskito rimo oil manfachsring
Superb
Even I can give medicine to a freaking doll. How about doing it with a real child?
Thank you
Some segments in the video are stamped not adjacent to each other
the video image is too poor, you need to fix it more
Informative
Hahahah, a fcking doll... Well done! Try it on real baby!
One more thing would like to ask you? Will it work if dissolved in water and take?
Same qstn. Whats ur own experience in it? I am taking antibiotics crushing them
This doesn't mention measuring the depth of the NGT
Thank you so much for this idea
this will never work with a real baby
Instead you could put it on your finger and try to rub it into the corner of the eye so they can blink it in
Much better advice than this video lol “wrap them tight in a blanket stray jacket style then put tube in the eye”!!
How to apply antibiotic ointment for the face?
thanks mam it's help full
Hi! A mom here and this was a joke right? I need a video of a real person doing this to a toddler. My angelic princess straight up turns into a freaking ninja when it comes to eye ointment. She is as quick as The Flash, angrier than The dang Hulk and stronger than Thor. How the eff do I wrestle an angry baby gorilla and get an actual amount in there. I’ve scoured the internet and it all lies. I’ve tried the asleep method and this does NO good bc it’s like her senses are heightened somehow. Her long eyelashes get most of it before I can squeeze it into an impossible little pocket you suggest. Then if they squint and/or cry it’s impossible to put it in there. Or comes sliding back down the face due to tears bc I am trying to shove goop in her eye. Sigh. I was hoping for a REAL trick. At least I know that I’m not alone and that my little Angel turned demon during medicine time isn’t the only one. Lol
I hear you. Try making it fun by acting like it’s a game before. With the lid closed you act like you are applying on her eye, then let her do the same for you. When you feel she is calm. Calmly apply. You’ll be good for the 1st eye so start with the sick one. Then wrestle your way through the second one. Works for me! All the best
Put on your finger and force it in. It feels like abuse, but not giving medicine is also abuse..
Thank u 😊💜
Hi i was watching this video and it really helped. But my question is once you throw the powder into the cup what do you do with shell of the capsule? Do you throw it away?
Both the dolls looks not much like humans...
Except a real child swats your hand, seals eyes shut and continuously moves head and eyes around...
seriously lol
My daughter does this kind of crocodile death roll, I just can’t get them anywhere near her, doctor even told me to try whilst she’s asleep but always wakes up! I’m at my whits end! Does anybody have any actual advice of trying with a real toddler who screams the house down like I’m trying to perform an exorcism
@@amyshields1035 With my 18 mo, after about 3 days of what you said, I started tell her which eye I'm about to put the drop in, and touching near it; it seemed to calm her quite a bit. She might also have been old enough to kind of learn what was going on and that it wasn't so terrible, so your mileage may vary. Hopefully we don't need to do very many of these!
Leo Romanovsky I ended up going back to my doctor, she prescribed liquid oral antibiotics instead and they’ve worked a treat (after having around 6 months of drops and gels this was the only option Left)haven’t had any recurring either 🥳
Amy Shield S wow that’s hard, I’m sorry - hope the kiddo is on the mend
Excellent way to educate mothers! one suggestion here, it would be great if you could translate them to URDU and other languages to get an universal demand. Thanks !God Bless!
I was wondering.. I could not see. Did she fill the top of the syringe with medicine also? Or how much Did she fill the syringe?
Really ? How about a real baby? Have you ever tried?
Vlady Dmytriv I’ve tried and it’s damn near impossible. Real kids fight, twist, and even clamp their little eyes shut. I just kept hoping more got in (and stayed in)than it seemed. The condition improved quickly, so that was encouraging. Good luck.
this video is useless! A doll for goodness sake!
Kristen Manning good luck to pull the eye of the toodler like that. 😂
Would be more sanitary and more comfortable for the baby! if she would use the 5 stars Eyedrop AND Ointment saver!
