How are you doing now?
good upgrading to a H2 next
So D Mode is like a 600 ??? If I grabbed an R1 I could ride in lower power mode to learn
yea its pretty nice better than buying 3 bikes u just get 1 and increase power modes as you get used to it :)
Bruh. Before Covid life was good 😂
"Get it if you can afford it...ya'know...the payments" 😂 That means you can't afford it yourself if you require payments.
lmfao it's paid off so clearly I could 🤣
How simple-minded.
the newer r1s are cool and all but for me nothing beats the real screamer years 07-08. They look more gorgeous than any other model imo.
Sounds quiet and like a 500
The bike doesn’t have a mind of its own. U control it. Get a bike which fits u. Seat height, weight, riding position. Riding safely has got nothing to do with the bike’s performance but ergonomics. ❤
Would have liked to actually see the bike
are you still riding??
Mad respect. My first outside a car was on my Ryker 900. Sold it and got a R7 (first time on super sport and clutching) I’m currently scared shitless haha I have really bad anxiety so I could never imagine staring on a 1000cc
Really wise riding with bare arms.
it's not wise but I'm comfy it's a calculated risk but hey people still smoke cigarettes, sky dive, buy condos, buy homes with HOA, Drink and Drive, buy exotic cars, dive with sharks, cave dive, hell even riding a motorcycle is not wise either but people still do it
What power mode are u riding in?
Hybrid Set to A but I turned on Traction control and slide control and I turn on Abs. That way I have all the power and the safety features.
@@The_Initiatedhey bro, how tall are you?
@@gixxer58 6"3"
Rip
as a little girl i used to put a crushed plastic water bottle in the back of my bicycle to get that sound 😂
lol
The only bike I ever ride is a r1 never regret it love that bug eye it is my first and only bike 2011
Knew this looks familiar my guys in AP😂
I went straight to 125cc to 1000cc. It's important know your limits and respect the power
amen to that brother
slab si
All those channels saying it's impossible to start on anything above a 500 cc are full of shit tbh. It's not impossible if you're average IQ and temperment
the way you held throttle handle bar was so annoying that I had to stop watching after 47 seconds
There’s one for $1500 CAD 2006 where I live, I’m 17 I might buy it and trade it for a DR650
Do you need to get an motor drives licence in the usa? This question is from an European thats why im asking
Im also gonna start on an r1 wish me luck hahaha
Right now at this moment I am exactly where you started. My 1st bike is a custom, well taken care of 2012 R1. Got it from a guy with a custom shop and family reasons he had to sell his bikes. So I am in the process of learning to ride a motorcycle. I even signed up for the class in 2 weeks. My sound silly to some that I’m doing that but I do respect the power of the bike I have.
First bike you ridden comparing to owning and riding is uncomparable . Just saying just cause you ride a bike doesn't make it as you owned and rode a 600.
no but you can test drive a car or bike and like the feel of one to the other we do it every day don't need 1000s of hours to see how it leans in the corner or handling braking how it feels soft brakes hard brakes grip feel ect list goes on.
i turned 17 in february and ive been riding dirtbikes/quads since i was 6. Couple weeks ago my cr250 shit itself and its gonna be around 2500 to fix it, and thats hiw much i spent on the bike. Ive wanted a street bike but it just got brought up every once in a while but then i realized the best time to get a street bike would be now. I found a 2006 r1 and ive already looked at it and im buying it tomorrow. Excited to start my journey, ride safe bro 🤘
hey man chase your dreams I love the r1 If you do end up getting it let me know how it rides stay safe brother
@@The_Initiated picked it up today man, i havent ridden it yet, but its very nice. super happy
@@troy5203 so how does it ride? having fun?
@@The_Initiated ive ridden it like 3 times😂. i still have to get my license but its great. i went to some backroads just to mess around and feel the bike out. i went 150 and ive never felt anything like it before, the adrenaline really is the best feeling in the world. Only part i dont like so far is the clutch, but i just have to get used to it because i was used to a dirtbike clutch. But yea so far so good 👍👍
@@troy5203 17 year old with only "experience" riding dirt bikes, buys an r1 200hp and goes 150mph without a license. What an idiot of a kid, should have better role models. RIP unless he is still alive. This is why people say start small, because of idiots like this who think they are edgy because they can buy a liter bike and go 150mph.
It's not recommended to hold your clutch in for extended periods of time just pop it in neutral at the stop lights
Everyone said I'd kill myself starting on my r6. It dosent have ENOUGH power as it is I thought it'd pull harder I shoulda got an h2
Bro people in these comments got to stop spreading fake rumors. He aint dead he has a life. I dont understand why ppl always assume the worst.
Lol who uses Craigslist anymore even considering the video is four years ago
Sup bro. Do you still ride and or own an R1? Just curious your bike vids helped me a lot,.
yup still do glad you liked content
@@The_Initiated I watched you video explaining why you want r1 as your first bike I do to to so imma get one next year when I save 18k but imma save even more because I want to upgrade everything on it so hopefully it goes the way I hope it does.
@Papi Stoppie I wish you all the luck man update me when you get it
@@The_Initiated ok brother stay safe 😁👍
Ok guys I can afford it I got my first bike h2 is looking sweet
hey bro going for an second hand r1000 which is 10000km driven what should i do should i go for it as first bike and yes it has a broken fuel pump a littel bit please tell me
not that i wouldnt too but why no gear on a superbike like this
lol it' be hot 🔥 only time u feel cool is when your moving and if your caught in traffic it's over
I’ve been riding dirt bikes my whole life So I think I have good throttle control😂 Would you recommend buying a new r1 or used???
Lol he ded
when I was 18 the first thing I bought with my big boy money was a wrecked 04 gsxr 1000. ( the first vehicle/motorcycle to ever go into my name ) Fixed it up and finally went to insure it.. $3,850 a year for liability only 😂 kind of ruined my dreams for a few years lol
Ur still alive?
yup
I get you wanted to start on a R1 but litre bikes ecu are programmed for track riding and riding it like a grandma ruins it eventually but you do you bro and I love the throttle hand placement you should start a motorcycle course
it does no such thing still works like a beauty 6 years later. and as for my hand placement I was really new at the time but even now I don't see the problem I had full control of the bike clutch and brake are covered just cause someone does something different doesn't mean it's wrong if u get the same result.
Did you drop it till today?
nope still good
@@The_Initiated 👌
Its not abuse their made to be revved high and driven hard
So It’s been 4y how are u now ?
You ride like a pussy tho man, you ride asif your a car driver... a bike is to be like riden if that makes sence. If your gonna just plod about why not just get something smaller and cheaper but you went for an R1 and you dont even give it any power anywhere. No wonder you havent uploaded in 2 years you probably got put off because you ride like an absolute fanny 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
hmmmm
How old are you
you're a maniac. I love it :) Last gen R1 is so sexy ♡
Tony soprano
My first bike. Aprilia RSV1000-R. Angry V-Twin. As long as you can control its weight and your wish to nail it, you'll be fine.
Im about to move from a CBR650 to a 2016 R1. Plenty of mixed reviews on my decision but I'm sticking with it. Can't wait to join the R1 club!
For some reason some people can't control themselves on a big fast bike.
