Any label paper should do the trick! Depends what kind of finish you want. There are diff levels of gloss or matte

It was so long ago I have no idea! I think the newer machines are faster too now. It does take multiple passes so a fair bit of time.

It uses 1 spool at a time, but auto-changes when it needs to. Each time it switches it purges and wastes some of the material so you have to be mindful of it in design or can waste a ton of filament

@@charleswalker2484 there is 1 filament tube that comes from each AMS to a unit on the back of the printer, once the printer requests a color from a AMS, whatever is in use gets retracted back to the AMS, and the new color feeds all the way to the extruder.

There is a hub on the back of the machine that connects the 4 AMS units, you can print up to 16 colors with this setup.

Gotta link to the bar light on the x1c? Floor is where all of the dust settles. Youre gonna get a lot of dust in your printer and ruin your carbon rods. I ruined a pc keeping it on the floor.

How often should carbon rods be cleaned? I have this printer for 2 weeks and so far I have used 1 kg of PLA and 1 kg of PETG.

I used to do that, but I'm not skilled enough to keep the plate flat when I'm edge banding 3/4 plywood, this takes the skill out of it so I can actually do it consistently

Lol, I haven't had a print that I needed to utilize all of them at once. I think I only printed 6 colors in one print? I mainly like the ability to just store and select whatever color filament I want without doing any work!

Hi! I absolutely detest the sound of my voice recorded, so don't think there'll ever be a time where I do a voice over. This was so long ago I forgot what settings I used. I believe when I made this, it was with a fine tip blade with 2-3 passes at the highest pressure setting that my Explore Air 2 could go. The sticky stuff I used was a 8.5" x 11" sheet of label paper that you can find on Amazon.

Very nice! Smart idea using the metal base as the router guide. No need for a jig or template if you can use the piece it’s going on. Definitely a work smarter not harder solution. What table saw are you using? I’m thinking about picking up a contractor saw to build a cabinet around as I have minimal space.
