I remember Christmas 1962 very well. One thing that particularly stands out was that it was the last Christmas growing up that we had a real Christmas tree. The following year, 1963, dad bought one of those silver aluminum trees, which would last until Christmas 1974.

I just had my home movie's transferred to DVD. Growing up in 60's and 70's... Christmas, Catskill Mountain vacations, Halloween party, New Year's eve party, Easter, New York City World's fair and birthday parties... Thanks Mom and Dad for such a wonderful childhood.

I wish they had shown more of the toy car the little girl opened. If I'm not mistaken, that was a Barbie Corvette in the 1962-63 style. I had one exactly like it.

We went every year to my aunts house for Christmas Eve The most exciting exhilarating experience My uncle played Santa with my aunt lowering the presents out an upstairs bedroom window Down to my uncle, We never knew, I thought those those times and people would be there forever So I try to make the holidays as great as when I was a kid And they are nice But they are not the same. Happy Holidays to,All
