"Financially everybody is suffering". Has anyone looked at the stock performed of Royal Carib, owner of Celeb? Much money is being made. BUT they know people will say "times are tough" and use the "I had it coming to me, he'll change one day" attitude so this isn;'t about financial suffering. This is about making even more money. And - they'll succeed.
Ouch. I'm retired and in my 40s. College stuff coming up for kids. I figured in a few years I'd take family to Italy (air -land). I've only done suites all my life but with current situation that would be too rich for me so I figured we'll get a few concierge rooms, and utilize buffet at night. I'm thinking I'll just save the money and not do that cruise now and consider us fortunate to even do the Italy trip.
WHY WOULDN'T THEY CHANGE? They know 80% of their customers will keep coming back for it. The other mass market lines will, or have done the same thing because again they know - 80% of their customers are Sheep. We used to cruise each year in a Penthouse usually 6147 on Summit or I think - it was 1616 Solstice. Originally Mercury hooked us on Celebrity but time and again, cutbacks, watering down, etc. So we've not cruised in 5 years now and have been enjoying land based trips. I'll cruise next year because we want to show Alaska to the kids and it's the easiest way but otherwise, I'm tired of 'taking it' especially at a time of record profits. So many on Cruise Critic will say "stop complaining" "a cruise is what you make of it"---- which is why businesses know - make an American stand in line, give him pre made cold food, over charge him - and he;'ll love you for it :)

Hi Mary. There are 7 neighborhoods and only 2 of them have a fee to get in. Hideaway Beach and coco beach club. Plus the water park has a fee
Has happened to me. Four or five flags or other free games trigger has resulted in a dud of a total and waste of a bonus round.
It's always exciting getting more than 3 flags, but unfortunately it usually doesn't end up being the best bonus. Thanks for watching!!

I watched the whole thing…I feel it didn’t really tell me anything…too many questions about West coast cruises which didn’t do well last year…they were giving them away for free..as well as Pinnacle members who some have never sailed Celebrity…but thanks for posting I had been interested in what happened on the President’s cruise….

Oh my goodness, that baked Alaska looks wonderful!!
The baked Alaska in Luminae is better than any other baked Alaska served in the other restaurants on the ship and it is really delicious.

Captain Leo is a sweetheart . Was on beyond last month. I was kinda disappointed at coco beach club . Way too crowded with kids, heavy drinking and adults horsing around.
If you go again, give the hide away beach a try. It's adult only and we found the choices of food to be better there too. I would suggest to keep an eye on any specials Celebrity might have for the entry fee. There could be a big difference in the entry fee depending on the time of the year and when you book it.Thanks for watching and yes Captain Leo was a really nice guy.
Please help - Please help guys - Celebrity dramatically changing its Blue Chip program as of August 1, 2024. We were just told multiple items that were previously covered in our package will not be honored on our sailings in August 2024. We are two weeks away from our sailing and they pull this crap now.
Yesterday they updated the update. You will keep all the perks for your tier level on cruises booked and paid for by Aug 1st 2024. they will be good until 8/1/2025. and depending on your Captain Club level there will be some extensions on book by/sail by datesYesterday we announced some changes to the Celebrity Blue Chip Club program. Here is part of the email we received yesterday: The feedback we received from you in the last 24 hours made it clear that we did not roll out these changes the way we should have. We are very sorry for the stress this may have caused you and would like to share how we are addressing this. On August 1, 2024, you will retain your current Tier Status for the next 12 months until July 31, 2025. You will continue to receive the same FreePlay benefits, beverage package benefits, and prepaid gratuity benefits of the previous program based on your tier for bookings fully paid and confirmed prior to August 1, 2024, with a sail-by date on or before July 31, 2025 (sailings must be 4 nights or longer).

I am experiencing issues booking specialty and some of the main dining restaurants on line. I am and Elite Plus, BlueChip player on Celebrity and this will be my first edge class cruise. Usually you can't book main dinning room online. We have never had a problem being seated in the main dinning room on any of the Edge class ships. We might have to wait on line for a few minutes occasionally and we don't go on peak times. Specialty restaurants usually stop booking online sometime before the cruise or say no reservations available. I would go to the Loyalty Concierge as soon as you can when you get onboard and see what they can do for you. They are usually very helpful in getting reservations. You can also see the Maitre"d at one of the restaurants the first day and see what they can do. You will love the Beyond. It's one of our favorite ships.Thanks for watching!!

Good morning Joyce and Jon. Hope you’re enjoying yourselves wherever you are. Wife and ijust booked b2b cruises on celebrity Apex for June of 2025. We are booked in aqua class which we have done before on eclipse. Last cruise was on constellation in the retreat, which spoiled us for other categories. We’ve just been offered a magic carpet suite for the last seven days at an up charge of 3k. Would you recommend accepting or staying put.
I would have to say staying in a Suite/Retreat experience on the Edge class ships is a great experience. But it would really depend on what I paid for the Aqua cabin and what perks you might be getting if any. That being said I would try it on an Edge Class ship at least once. We love the suites on the Apex.

I actually wasn't thrilled with the Luminae menu on the Beyond. Pigs Foot Carpaccio? Hard no. Who is eating that? I noticed you guys didn't get any of the specials, just some good classics. Although the menu doesn't change on the Haven menu on NCL, the choices are much better in my opinion. Roasted Pork Belly, Mushroom Risotto, Filet Mignon, Crab Cakes...Refined and upscale but not too avante garde.
